I've not seen many government buildings with peculiar colors such as lavender or purple but it has definitely served its purpose of catching the attention of passers-by. Plus the leadership of a female mayor administering that institution, I guess the color choice might be an appropriate one, signifying royalty and the upper levels of authority. 😊
