Hello friends. This is actually my first time making a post and I believe it will go well as I started with the Architecture+Design community because of my profession in the area of Architecture.
I am sharing with you from Nigeria about the hotel am working from as the front office manager. This hotel is known as De Blaze hotel. The hotel is located at Federal Polytechnic Nekede Road, Owerri Imo State, Nigeria. The hotel is just a few months old as it was built and designed the last year 2021.
Currently, the hotel is among the moving hotels at Owerri the capital city of Imo State. The hotel fully resumed work on January 2022. Since the hotel resumed work, they employed more than twenty-two workers to help manage the affairs of the hotel. I was actually among the twenty-two employed workers in the hotel.
Recently, we have fully resumed work but to tell you the truth. You know new hotels used to have many customers and for that reason, we have a large number of customers. Though, this is my first time working in a hotel as a front office manager. So I find it difficult to cope but I believe with time things will get better as will be developing new working skill experience.
The director who is the owner of this hotel is just a young guy of early thirty’s but he engaged in hotel management at an early stage before he moved to Germany where he is currently based.
The quality of this hotel lies in the hands of the Architect who designed the building because a lot of our customers used to comment positively about the design of this hotel. I was opportune to join Hive some weeks ago but I never knew where and how to start. I believe starting with the Architectutre+Design community is a good one for me because I will be sharing most Architectures and Designs buildings within my capacity.
This hotel is highly rated by people because of its current state of design and the center of the hotel. The roof of this hotel is constructed with an aluminum design and it is 48ft far from the POP design. This helps the hotel rooms to be in a cold state even in the rainy or dry seasons.
The hotel has some artwork design on the wall of the hotel which makes the work of the Architect more beautiful and complete work. The paint used in painting this hotel was gotten directly from paint producing company in Nigeria and the paint was oil paint. We used to hire people to wash the walls of the hotel building every month because of the dry season that causes much dust. Do you know that after they finished washing the walls, the hotel keep shining like a day old hotel?
The window space of the hotel is functional as it can accommodate much air inside the hotel. The owner of this hotel is actually planning to expand the hotel so as to have more spacious rooms that will be rented on daily bases to customers that may need to lodge.
Our hotel is always functional for 24hrs. We have day and night workers in our hotel through the shifting of duty rosters.
