This time I want to talk a little about an architecture that I visited a few weeks ago with my husband. I was in awe of this building and I want to share this wonderful space with all of you.

En esta ocasión les quiero hablar un poco sobre una arquitectura que visite hace algunas semanas en compañía de mi esposo. Quedé admirada de este edificio y quiero compartir este espacio tan maravilloso con todos ustedes.
This structure I am going to tell you about is nothing more and nothing less than the "Paseo Estación Central" shopping mall, located in the center of the city of Maracay, Aragua state, in my country Venezuela. But it is not just a train station (which it is not, although it is decorated and decorated as such), nor is it a typical shopping mall. There is much more history to discover behind this magnificent and grandiose structure and I invite you to learn a little more about it.
Esta estructura de la cual les hablaré, se trata nada más y nada menos que del centro comercial “Paseo Estación Central”, ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Maracay, estado Aragua, en mi país Venezuela. Pero no se trata simplemente de una estación de trenes (que no lo es, aunque esté ambientada y decorada como tal), tampoco es un típico centro comercial. Hay mucho más historia por descubrir detrás de esta magnífica y grandiosa estructura y les invito a conocer un poco más acerca de ella.
For many years this building was the first company built in the city of Maracay called "Telares e Hilanderías Maracay". This factory was inaugurated in 1926. At that time it was one of the best known architectures in Venezuela, thus becoming a heritage for the inhabitants of that city. Then, as the years went by, this company declined until it was totally dismantled and abandoned. As the structure was deteriorating more and more, they decided to rehabilitate it and turn it into what we know today as the "Paseo Estación Central" shopping mall. The architects in charge of initiating this project were Adina Kaufman and Luis Guillermo. In July 2014 it was inaugurated this time under the name Estación Central under commercial use. Until then it has received changes and structural remodeling of both the interior and exterior. It has been a slow but sure work trusting that soon it will be completely finished.
This structure is designed in a deco style, with large decorations, facades and finishing touches that make it look elegant and stately. It is undoubtedly a work that aims to fully restore this space for the beautification and entertainment of the city. It has become an emblematic architecture. Offering greater comfort to the inhabitants and tourists. Its doors are open twenty-four hours a day.
Durante muchos años este edificio fue la primera empresa construida en la ciudad de Maracay llamada “Telares e Hilanderías Maracay”. Esta fábrica se inauguró en el año 1926. Para ese entonces fue una de las arquitecturas más conocidas en Venezuela, convirtiéndose así un patrimonio para los habitantes de esa ciudad. Luego con el pasar de los años esta empresa fue decayendo hasta quedar totalmente inhabilitada y abandonada. En vista de que la estructura cada vez más se iba deteriorando decidieron rehabilitarla y convertirla lo que hoy conocemos como centro comercial “Paseo Estación Central”. Los arquitectos encargados de iniciar este proyecto fueron Adina Kaufman y Luis Guillermo. En julio del año 2014 fue inaugurado esta vez bajo el nombre Estación Central bajo el uso comercial. Hasta entonces ha recibido cambios y remodelaciones estructurales tanto del interior como del exterior. Ha sido un trabajo lento pero seguro confiando que pronto esté totalmente terminada.
Esta estructura está diseñada al estilo deco, con grandes decoraciones, fachadas y remate que la hacen ver elegante y señorial. Sin duda es una obra que tiene como fin restaurar totalmente este espacio para el embellecimiento y entretenimiento de la ciudad. Se ha convertido en una emblemática arquitectura. Ofreciendo mayor comodidad a los habitantes y turistas. Sus puertas están abiertas las veinticuatro horas del día.
Now I will be talking a little bit about its exterior structure.
As we can see this building has a large parking lot, extremely spacious, comfortable and safe; besides that it offers us an environment surrounded by trees and garden bushes, which makes the place pleasant and satisfactory for visitors.
Ahora les estaré hablando un poco de su estructura exterior.
Como podemos ver este edificio cuenta con un gran estacionamiento, sumamente amplio, cómodo y seguro; además de eso nos brinda un ambiente rodeado de árboles y arbustos de jardín, lo cual hace el lugar agradable y satisfactorio para los visitantes.
The shopping center also has a water tank that supplies the entire shopping center. This has been in place for many years, since the textile company was in operation. Since then and with some remodeling and maintenance, it has been of great benefit.
De igual manera el centro comercial, cuenta con un tanque de agua que permite abastecer todo el centro comercial. Este ha permanecido durante muchos años, desde cuando la empresa de textiles estaba en funcionamiento. Desde entonces y con algunas remodelaciones y mantenimiento, ha sido de gran beneficio.

This work is undoubtedly a replica of what used to be known as the looms because when we see its windows it reminds us of the old factory, and although it has been restructured, it has not lost its original style which makes it look picturesque, not to mention the set of arched windows, a perfect combination with the white walls making it look very elegant.
Esta obra es sin duda una réplica de lo que antes se conocía como los telares ya que al ver sus ventanales nos recuerda a la antigua fábrica, y aunque ha sido reestructurada, no ha perdido su estilo original lo que la hace ver pintoresco, sin dejar de mencionar el juego de ventanales en forma de arco, una perfecta combinación con los muros de color blanco haciéndola ver muy elegante.
The front of this structure has a white color with glass windows, raised with fortified walls forming a staircase layout enhancing its beauty and delicacy that it possesses. An admirable and imposing structure, which today can be admired thanks to those who were encouraged to retake and make this space a memorable and unforgettable place, as it was in its time for many: a company of great value, and instead of demolishing it and leave no trace of it, they decided to restructure it and turn it into a pleasant space, and that no doubt all Maracayeros can feel proud to have an architecture such as the shopping center "Paseo Estación Cantral".
La parte frontal de esta estructura posee un color blanco con ventanales de cristal, levantada con muros fortificados formando una disposición en forma de escalera realzando su belleza y delicadeza que esta posee. Una admirable e imponente estructura, con la que hoy en día se puede admirar gracias a los que se animaron en retomar y hacer de este espacio un lugar memorable e inolvidable, como lo fue en su tiempo para muchos: una empresa de gran valor; y que en lugar de demolerla y no dejar rastros de ella, decidieron reestructurarla y convertirla en un espacio agradable, y que sin duda todos los maracayeros puedan sentirse orgullosos de poder contar con una arquitectura como lo es el centro comercial “Paseo Estación Cantral”.
Another structure that undoubtedly offers us this space is the spiral staircase that leads to the upper areas of the building. From there we can see its structure and elegance surrounded by bushes and buildings.
Otro de las estructuras que sin duda nos ofrece este espacio es la escaleras en forma de caracol que nos lleva a las zonas superiores del edifico. Desde allí podemos ver sus estructura y elegancia rodeada de arbustos y edificios.
I had the opportunity to go up and it is undoubtedly a fortified construction. As we can see, the banks have stainless steel railings for protection and security.
Tuve la oportunidad de subir y es sin duda una construcción fortificada. Como podemos ver, por las orillas cuenta con barandas de acero inoxidable para la protección y seguridad.
But that's not all it offers, it also has elevators for people who can not climb the steps and even for people with disabilities can climb with confidence and enjoy the view.
Pero eso no es todo los que nos brinda, también cuenta con ascensores para las personas que no pueda subir los escalones e incluso para personas con discapacidad pueden subir con confianza y disfrutar de la vista.
You can really enjoy and spend pleasant moments with family and friends, enjoying all that this space has to offer, it was nice to be able to contemplate and enjoy the environment, especially the magnificent spiral staircase, because from the top you can see the entire parking lot,
Realmente se puede gozar y pasar momentos agradables con la familia y amigos, disfrutando de todo lo que nos puede ofrecer este espacio, fue de agrado poder contemplar y disfrutar del ambiente en especial la magnífica escalera de caracol, porque desde lo alto se aprecia todo el estacionamiento,
