Design musings #01: Stepping into a world of fantasy

Heyah Hivers!!!
(Disclaimer: this is not a food blog lol)
How are you guys? I hope everything's fine 😊
I'm excited to share here my #DesignMusings series, where I could share my insights, reactions, and reviews about my encounters and experiences in design and construction from an amateur architect's perspective. Hope we could exchange ideas here hivers πŸ˜‰

So where are we going to scout today?

Well, let me take you guys to another world. Say hello to this creative, playful, and unique hangout place, the "Kurimi Milk Tea Bar". If you’ve watched the k-drama series W: Two Worlds, then you might be kinda familiar with the interiors of this cafe, which looks like a comic book. I actually discovered this shop on social media and it happened to be near our neighborhood.

Was it worth it?

Well, personally, it sparked curiosity and excitement in me when I saw the picture of the interiors of the cafe. That alone made me decide to really go for it and try (the power of social media guys lol). According to my research, it's the first 2D concept shop here in the Philippines. Apparently, Korea, Japan, and some part of Europe are said to have this kind of concept also. But that didn't hinder why I'm loving this trendy cafe. There are actually three things that I love about it. So here we go!

#1 Concept (2D concept-comic-ish vibe)
When you step into the cafe, you’re like entering another world where you can be the main character. I love how the 2D doodles will make you stand out in the room and let you create your own story in every corner. Isn't it amazing?

The 2D concept makes the cafe more interesting and easy to remember because it's the only one of its kind here in the Philippines. If you're a blogger, then this place is a must-try for taking insta-worthy photos.

#2 Craftsmanship- Doodles all over!
The doodles are amazing! I appreciate the hard work and talent that they put in every corner. All of it is hand-drawn. Each corner is filled with anime doodles, plants, and many more. As you can see from the photo, chairs, tables, and even the aircon were also doodled! I love it! The concept totally captured every single detail.

A big shout-out to the artist who made all the interior illustrations. So lovin it!

#3 Creativity-overload!

The place is not your typical milk tea shop. I like how the design was creatively formed in a way that it involves a new experience, the strong concept, and how it brings challenge to other businesses in the market to be unique and excellent as well. The experience is definitely something that people want to try. No wonder this has been trending on social media.

How about you? Have you ever been in a unique cafe? What features that you liked most about it? Hope to hear yours too hivers!

That would be all for this week, until then! Annyeong!πŸ˜‰
