But there is more, we walk through more streets and squares, and after peaceful surroundings in quiet and colorful squares, like Plaza del Corrillo (Corrillo Square), we come across the Casa de las Conchas (the Shells House), all decorated on the outside but impressive on the inside, with an incredible porticoed patio.

According our tour guide, The Grand Mosque Hagia Sophia is UNESCO heritage that built first as Church in the 6th century. It is marked by a picture of the Virgin Mary on one of the gates. It was a long gate to entering the main hall. But that long gate is contain the history of Hagia Sophia so it is would be regret to miss it.

In 2004, the Galle Anagarika Dharmapala Park was completely destroyed by the Tsunami waves, but the large trees that were there at that time were not destroyed. Since it was a holiday, there must have been many lovers in this park. The lives of many of their young lovers may have ended. A memorial has recently been erected in the park to remember those who died.
