Making a living and making a life are two areas that may or may not be influenced greatly by purpose and passion. Therefore, when one has direction and focuses towards that end, one is always able to live a proper life that has a meaning. These two appears side by side, helping us towards achieving our vision and mission statements and creating a spark that urges an entity to be the best in the world.
The definition of purpose is the reason for doing something – It provides meaning and focus to an individual’s activities. When we have clear purpose we are better placed to undertake purposeful activities or make purposeful decisions and therefore become more purposeful. A sense of purpose also assists in dealing with the difficulties and challenges because, in this case, they are working towards a greater goal that is beyond the individual’s own benefits.
Passion, on the other hand, is the curiosity and concern that one has towards something while passion is the vigor and vigor that one has on something. It is that force which motivates one and pushes one towards the achievement of the set goals. People will only work hard, dedicate and persevere to the extent of achieving the goals that they have set when they have passion in what they are doing. Passion on the other hand enables people to work extra hard whenever there is a challenge this is because passion provides people with extra energy to work harder.
It is only when you have a deep passion and purpose for something extraordinary happens. People who have a vision in their lives and have the energy to chase after the vision are capable of making a large impact in the society. They turn into irresistible forces of nature and can have only one goal, to achieve the mission they were given and to change people’s lives.
I'll like to give an instance to support my point.
Esther a young woman found her passion in ensuring that underprivileged children received quality education. Esther had always had an interest in education and had seen it as her duty to ensure that every child would be given the chance to learn. She worked as a volunteer in local schools, contributing to various initiatives, including fundraising campaigns and advocating for changes for education in her community.
This way, Esther proved to be a truly dedicated and passionate woman willing to help as many children as she could. She also helped to construct new schools, offered scholarships for students with limited opportunities, and created relevant programs for school achievements. With purpose and passion, Esther was able to change the lives of the children she cared for and mobilise others to join her.
Therefore, one needs to have a purpose and passion in life in order to live an enjoyable and satisfying life. Seeing this purpose in life and chasing it passionately makes us the best that we can be and contribute positively to the world. If we, therefore, channel all our energies towards the achievement of the above noble causes and willingly pursue those courses of action, then great things can be accomplished and a legacy be created that truly counts.
