Finally yesterday began the best season for me: dear spring. In this part of the world, the days are already beginning to be warm and sunny, you can spend the afternoon outdoors without freezing, the days are a little longer... Without a doubt I prefer the heat and the beginning of spring always makes me feel good humor. To celebrate it, yesterday we spent a beautiful afternoon in the square, eating a little and listening to some live music ❤️.
Finalmente ayer empezó la mejor estación para mí: la querida primavera. En esta parte del mundo los días ya comienzan a ser cálidos y soleados, se puede pasar la tarde al aire libre sin congelarse, los días son un poco más largos... Sin dudas prefiero el calor y que empiece la primavera siempre me pone de buen humor. Para celebrarla, ayer pasamos una tarde hermosa en la plaza, comiendo un poco y escuchando algo de música en vivo ❤️.
In Argentina, the beginning of spring coincides with Student's Day, so every year this day is celebrated outdoors with friends. When I was a teenager, my classmates and I would organize meetings of more than 10 people and we would all go for a picnic together in a square. Currently we no longer do this, but I still like to walk on this day to celebrate in some way.
En Argentina el inicio de la primavera coincide con el día del estudiante, por lo que todos los años este día se celebra al aire libre con amigos. Cuando era adolescente, mis compañeros de la escuela y yo organizabamos reuniones de más de 10 personas e íbamos todos juntos de picnic a alguna plaza. Actualmente ya no hacemos esto, pero a mi me sigue gustando pasear en este día para celebrar de algún modo.
Yesterday afternoon the municipality of my city prepared an event in the main square: this included a series of shows on a stage with local artists. It seemed like a good idea to attend, since this place is close to my house and I could return early by train. I invited my sister Kiara and her friend, so the 3 of us were walking together from here to there.
Ayer por la tarde la municipalidad de mi ciudad preparó un evento en la plaza principal: esto incluía una serie de shows en un escenario con artistas locales. Me pareció buena idea asistir, ya que este lugar queda cerca de mi casa y podía volver temprano en tren. Invité a mi hermana Kiara y a su amiga, por lo que las 3 estuvimos paseando juntas de aquí a allá.
When we got to the square we bought something to eat. I thought that as it was a rather big event, maybe there would be some food trucks, but this was not the case. Instead we ended up buying a big cone of fries with cheddar, green, bacon and sausage. This type of fast food is all the rage around here: in that area there are at least four businesses that sell these cones. They're delicious anyway, I didn't even get to take a picture of him before it was attacked 😂.
Al llegar a la plaza compramos algo para comer. Pensé que como era un evento un poco grande quizás habrían algunos foodtrucks, pero esto no fue así. En su lugar terminamos comprando un gran cono de papas fritas con cheddar, verdeo, panceta y salchichas. Este tipo de comida rápida está de moda por aquí: en esa área hay por lo menos cuatro negocios que venden estos conos. De todos modos son deliciosos, ni siquiera llegué a tomarle una foto antes de que lo atacaran 😂.
The girls really enjoyed the food. Me too, but I tried to eat little. I've been eating too much lately and I want to change that but it's having a hard time. And to make everything more difficult, these potatoes were delicious and freshly made 😂.
Las chicas disfrutaron mucho la comida. Yo también, pero intenté comer poco. Últimamente estoy comiendo demasiado y quiero cambiar eso pero me está costando. Y para hacer todo más difícil, estas papas estaban deliciosas y recién hechas 😂.
The band that played live was of a style of music that I like: "cumbia santafesina". They played classical songs from other bands of this type, so the show was a real party and I really enjoyed it. In another non-covid moment I would have liked to go closer to the stage, but there were too many people and I did not want to be so crowded. I settled for listening to them from a safe distance and without so many people around.
La banda que tocó en vivo era de un estilo de música que me gusta: "cumbia santafesina". Ellos tocaban canciones clásicas de otras bandas de este tipo, por lo que el show fue una verdadera fiesta y lo disfruté mucho. En otro momento de no-covid me hubiese gustado ir más cerca del escenario, pero había demasiada gente y no quería estar tan amontonada. Me conformé con escucharlos desde una distancia prudente y sin tanta gente alrededor.
Spring is my favorite season of the year. Stop being cold but it's not that hot either. I love the outdoors, so I'm probably spending more time outside now 😅. I am glad to have shared this afternoon with my sister and her friend: surely in the next few years they will want to spend it alone with their friends as I did in my adolescence. Meanwhile, I was the responsible adult who paid for the food 😂.
La primavera es mi estación favorita del año. Deja de hacer frío peeo tampoco hace tanto calor. Me encanta el aire libre, por lo que seguramente ahora pase más tiempo afuera 😅. Me alegro de haber compartido esta tarde con mi hermana y su amiga: seguramente en los próximos años quieran pasarlo solo con sus amigos como lo hacía yo en mi adolescencia. Mientras tanto, fui el adulto responsable que pagó la comida 😂.
