After posting a bike ride from my house, this post will complete the trip back )))
Previous post "MIKE on a BIKE" ))) @manorvillemike/mike-on-a-bike-qrx5iw
Went as far as the pond at the railroad tracks... Now going to follow the tracks back to the road...
Tracks follow a rising grade where you can see the hill was dug out to lower the incline...
Had to walk the bike up to the road. Can't ride on the trap-rock holding the railroad ties together...
Back at the road I switched over to the dirt road running under the High Tension towers...
Kids toy, looked like it had a battery for some use...
Patch of fine sand that you couldn't ride a bike through...
I use to ride along the different tower roads when I was younger with a 4 stroke motorcycle trail bike... The surface of the dirt roads would change from pebbles to sand with rolling hills where you couldn't see what was up ahead..
One time I hit a sandy spot like this and flew over the handle bars.. Luckily wasn't going that fast My instinct was to curl in a ball. Wound up landing on my back and then rolling over.. The soft sand prevented any injury..
Looking back the way I came )))
I was curious why this pole had 3 guide wires on each side for stability.. There wasn't an abrupt turn, while all the others had none... It was just before crossing the road by 'The Maples" bar & grill...
Dirt road turns away from the towers and heads to the road that goes passed my house...
