Hi, how are all of my fiercest rivals in the Splinterlands doing?
The combat is becoming more intense. At first this season, I had trouble raising my rating. I still search for fights where there are rulesets taking sides, though. Naturally, to participate in the Mage Secrets Splinterlands weekly battle challenge. This link allows you to follow it as well.

Thus, the Taking sides rule is one of the conflicts we covered. A regulation that excludes monsters of the neutral type from battle.

I will share my fight where the taking sides rule applies. I was able to exploit the situation by analyzing the strength of my opponent's cards. But first, let's discuss what Taking Sides is.

TAKING SIDES

Taking sides is one of the Splinterlands battle rules that prohibits the use of neutral monsters. This means that we must optimize the monsters in each of the seven elements available in Splinterlands. is a fire element, earth element, water element, life element, death element, and dragon element.

TAKING SIDES Ruleset Battle

This is a battle I had with little mana in the bronze league. Mana is worth 18 points. Water, earth, life, and dragon elements are among those that can be used. There is no way to choose a monster with a neutral element under the Taking sides rule.

According to the opposing party's battle history, the opponent frequently employs the earth element by relying on the summoner MYLOR CROWLING. which inflicts thorn damage on melee monsters that attack it. As a result, I prepared for it by employing non-melee monsters. And I chose to deal with the thorn attacks with life element monsters.

Round 1 2.png

The Pelacor Conjurer and captain Katie are protected from enemy attacks in the first round thanks to shields from the summoner and the truthspeaker. Fungus Flinger was instantly eliminated by Captain Katie's snipe attack. Activates the bloodlust effect and also martyr on the opponent's side.

Round 2.png

Pelacor Conjurer faced Mycelic Infantry in round 2. Captain Katie attacked the Mycelic Infantry, causing its health points to become critical.

Round 3.png

Captain Katie defeated the Mycelic Infantry in the third round. Pelacor Conjurer opposes Mycelic Morphoid.

Round 4.png

Captain Katie's attack knocked out Mycelic Morphoid in the fourth round. Bloodlust is active again.

Round 5.png

The Hill Giant couldn't move in the fifth round because there was only one opponent left, and Captain Katie's strength was increasing. My victory is complete.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We can devise counter-strategies by studying the opponent's battle history. To defeat opponents who equipped monsters with thorns, I used my non-melee abilities to their fullest. And my plan worked.

Use only one attacker and two non-attacking monsters. And, with the bloodlust effect enabled, I can maximize the power of life element monsters without the assistance of neutral element monsters.

As a result, the monster's strength in each element must be maximized by following the fighting rules.
