Hello, Splinterlands warriors! How are you? Back with another post about Battle Mage secrets. This is my second post for this week's Splinterlands challenge. The topic for this time is the Reverse Speed ruleset for monsters with the bloodlust ability.
It's worth debating because the bloodlust ability boosts the stats of all monsters. And, of course, it will boost your speed stats. This is in contrast to reverse speed, where the fastest monster has one speed point.
Gambling occurs during bloodlust monster battles. Is it permissible under the Reverse Speed Ruleset, or is it harmful? The following is a battle involving gladiator monsters using the Reverse Speed ruleset.
REVERSE SPEED
Gladiator monster brawls and reverse-speed battles
I chose one of the recently completed Brawl battles. Three rules apply in that fight. Reverse Speed, Up To Eleven, and Are You Not Entertained are a few examples.
These three rules allow players to use two Gladius monsters. It would be a shame if you squandered that opportunity. by accepting the risk that the gladius monster will be the slowest if the bloodlust skill is successfully activated. However, the opportunity is worth pursuing.
In this fight, I chose to summon a water element summoner.
BATTLE FORMATION
POSSIBLUS THE WISE, summoner. I chose this summoner from the available element options because I wanted to take advantage of Trample's abilities. I can send monsters that have also reached the upgraded level with this level 2 summoner.
ALVA THE CRUSHER, in first place, was chosen because of its ability to reduce melee and ranged attacks by 50%. This monster's initial speed is 3 points, and if the bloodlust skill is active, it will be even slower.
COASTAL SENTRY is placed second. Despite having double attack abilities and reaching level 3, this monster can still reach opponents thanks to the summoner's abilities. Furthermore, the initial speed is 4 points. ALVA THE CRUSHER is faster than this monster.
DISINTEGRATOR is the third position. With the Demoralize ability, which reduces melee attacks, this monster will become a nightmare for opposing melee monsters. Because the starting speed is one point, this monster will be the fastest when attacking.
ZSGALD VORST is in fourth place. Gladius monster with bloodlust and opportunity abilities. Because the initial speed is 4 points, this will be the last to attacker in the reverse speed rule.
SPIRIT HOARDER is placed fifth. This monster is useful in this battle for assisting in the recovery of the monsters at the back of the battle formation. With an initial speed of one point, it is hoped that this monster's speed will allow it to avoid opponent attacks.
CRUEL SETHROPOD comes in sixth place, with a speed of 1 point. I placed it in the back as a target for opposing monsters with sneak abilities. It is hoped that Cruel Sethropod will be able to avoid sneak attacks due to its reverse speed rules.
This battle occurred during the Brawl battle, and it had a mana cap of 41 points. Except for dragon elements, the all elements can be used. And I've decided to summon summoner Possiblus the Wise.
The battle is fought in the following formation:
The opponent also chooses to use monsters with starting speeds between 2 and 3 speed points. By relying on Snipe attacks from CAPTAIN KATIE. The SPIRIT HOARDER is the first to attack from this formation. VENARI MARKSRAT, which was installed as a sacrifice by the enemy from the start, was successful in activating the stats of DRYBONE BARBARIAN. DRYBONE BARBARIAN, with a speed point of 5, is, of course, the last to attack.
ZSGARD VORST, who had his turn to attack at the end of the round, was able to get rid of the PELACOR ARBALEST and activate the bloodlust skill effect in this round.
SPIRIT HORADER recovers in the second round. Fortunately, using this summoner grants the monsters an additional 2 health points. This is why CAPTAIN KATIE can't get rid of the SPIRIT HOARDER. ALVA THE CRUSHER finally eliminated DRYBONE BARBARIAN, who was critical due to COASTAL SENTRY attacks, while activating the bloodlust effect. JARED SCAR has risen to the front of the formation. And, similarly to the previous round, ZSGARD VORST waited until the end of the round to eliminate VENARI CRYSTALSMITH.
After CAPTAIN KATIE eliminated SPIRIT HOARDER in the third round, JARED SCAR was attacked by COASTAL SENTRY. This activates CAPTAIN KATIE's bloodlust skill. However, with a line of monsters waiting for their turn to attack him, CAPTAIN KATIE was finally knocked out of this battle and victory was mine.
DID MY PLAN WORK?
Even though my bloodlust ability did not comply with the reverse speed rules, I was able to win this fight. The ability to reverse speed actually reverses the order of who attacks first. Also, how likely is it to avoid melee and ranged attacks?
For monsters with the bloodlust ability, there is also the advantage of attacking at the end of the round. Because attacking at the end will deplete the opponent's health points. Finally, you can eliminate your opponent's critical monster and activate the bloodlust effect with a single attack.
I recommend sticking to the battle rules of using monsters with one speed point. However, if these monsters are not available, using fast monsters to win the fight is not a bad idea.
