As a normal routine observation, birds need care and medicationfl from their day old till when they will be live for their life time. There are some necessary things need to be done, like yesterday I gave them glucose for strength and to relief them of stress due to the journey and that will be administered for 24hours. So,after that 24hours there is need for them to be given antibiotics for next 5days,after that 5th day,it will be a day with water.

So after I had given them glucose for energy regain. Their second day will be to start with antibiotics. I got 100gram of antibiotics medication which is to be administered into a 400litres of water for the next 5days.

IMPORTANCE OF ANTIBIOTICS IN BIRDS.

  • Impact on chicken growth, digestive tract and immune systems
The poultry industry uses antibiotics to improve meat production through increased feed conversion, growth rate promotion and disease prevention.
  • Impact on consumer health and the environment
In addition to bio-resistance, antibiotics abuse has resulted in drug residues in animal products (Gonzalez Ronquillo and Angeles Hernandez, 2017)
  • Impact on meat quality and eggs
Campylobacter is a major cause of food-borne diarrheal diseases in humans. Campylobacter infections can be severe or fatal in immunocompromised or elderly people and very young children.
  • Use of antibiotics in broiler chicken production
Over the past 50 years, the use of antibiotics combined with strict biosecurity and hygiene measures has helped the poultry industry to grow by preventing the negative impacts of many avian diseases (Bermudez, 2003). Even as biosecurity may be sufficient, vaccination can also be used as an additional measure.
