Hello, internet people. Today I want to talk to you about one of my favourite films, it is the drama-comedy "The Help", this film is so good that I don't even know where to start, however what undoubtedly stands out among the features of the film is its compendium of stories. >Hola, gente de internet. Hoy quiero hablarles de una de mis películas preferidas, se trata del drama-comedia Historias Cruzadas, esta película es tan buena que ni siquiera se por donde empezar, sin embargo lo que sin lugar a dudas destaca entre las características de la película es su compendio de historias.

The main story is about how Skeeter (one of the main characters) plans to write a book in the 60's about the injustice that black maids live, about the evils to which they are subjected and so on, being raised by a black woman with a peculiar personality, Skeeter is gentle and kind to people of colour and that is why step by step she sympathises more with black women than with the white women in her social circle.

The film is super dynamic, there is no time for boredom and although it is a drama, it also has some good comedy scenes.

As I mentioned before, the cinematography or soundtrack in this film is not important to me, what fascinates me about it are the stories and the performances, I don't think any actor does it badly, it is easy to love or hate the characters according to their behaviour.

My favourite characters are Celia and Minny. Celia is a poor girl who married a handsome young millionaire because she had become pregnant by him, but Celia had several abortions that she hid from her husband for fear of losing him. On the other hand, she was not a good housewife either, so she hired Minny (who could not get a job anywhere because of her previous employer) and told her to go to work after nine o'clock and leave before a certain time so that her husband would not know that it was not Celia who was doing the chores.

Celia es una chica pobre que se casó con un joven apuesto y millonario, ya que ella había quedado embarazada de él, sin embargo Celia tuvo varias pérdidas que le ocultó a su esposo por miedo a perderlo. Minny who has always been mistreated by her employers is surprised by Celia's attitude, she is very affectionate, trusting and gentle, she treats Minny like a friend and you can tell she is happy to have her at home, which makes Minny take a liking to her and advise her about the popular white girls Celia wants to be friends with and tries so hard to please and where is her husband's ex-girlfriend (Minny's former employer).

>Minny quién siempre ha vivido maltratos de parte de sus empleadores se sorprende de la actitud de Celia, es muy cariñosa, confianzuda y gentil, trata a Minny como a una amiga y se nota que se siente feliz de tenerla en casa, lo que hace que Minny le tome cariño y la aconseje sobre las chicas populares blancas de las que Celia quiere ser amiga y tanto se esfuerza por agradar, y donde está la ex novia de su marido (la anterior empleadora de Minny)

However, one day Minny arrives to work and is discovered by Celia's husband, frightened she ran away but he explained that Celia had told him absolutely everything, about the babies and also that Minny worked for them and he accompanied her inside where Celia was waiting for her with a whole banquet prepared by her with everything she had taught her, as well as telling her that they only wanted her to continue working for them indefinitely if she wanted to.

Minny is very funny, she is also a tough woman for some things but she has an abusive husband. Celia and her husband's courtesy for her, Celia's advice and the assurance that she will have a permanent job for life where she knows she will be treated very well, gives her the courage to take her children and leave her abusive husband. >Minny es muy graciosa, también es una mujer aguerrida para algunas cosas, sin embargo tiene un esposo maltratador, el gesto que hace Celia y su esposo por ella, los consejos de la misma Celia y la seguridad de que tendrá un empleo fijo de por vida dónde además sabe que la tratarán muy bien, le da el valor para tomar a sus hijos y dejar a su abusivo marido.

Skeeter's struggle to be a writer who writes much more than home columns in the 60's, the daily struggle of black women going to work, what they lost and also what they gained, all these intersecting stories are what make this film a marvel and I recommend it 100%.

>La lucha de Skeeter por ser una escritora que escriba mucho más que las columnas del hogar en plenos 60's, la lucha diaria de las mujeres negras al ir a trabajar, lo que perdieron y también lo que ganaron, todas esas historias cruzadas son las que hacen de esta película una maravilla y se las recomiendo al 100%
