Be true to yourself!

Pretending to be something which we are not becoming a norm, no?

It may sound crazy but it's very true. If you look around the people, what they are doing in life; online and offline you will understand it better. And the thing is we all do this knowingly or unknowing, more or less. As I was saying it became a norm. It became so normal nowadays that you may find it difficult to discover someone who is true to thyself.

Don't you think that faking and pretending is contradictory to improving mental health? Just think this way that we have to come back to our own self at the end of the day. We can't pretend to ourselves. And if we choose to do so, we definitely feel personality clash. So, now the question of how we can be true to ourselves?

Be the genuine self. Show people what you are. If you are introvert don't pretend to be extrovert.

Follow your own ethical standard not what the social standard is. Time to time we can make our stand more powerful.

Don't create conflict with others. Respect, listen, accept others choices. Politeness can make a good stand.

Be strong with what you believe in. You don't have to start a fight but you can choose to be strong.

And most importantly, don't pretend to fit in. Make your own path and be strong that way.

It's not hard to find what you are and what you really want. But it's not easy to take the stand to be true to ourselves. We fear society, our surroundings so much and step back from what we really are. Take the small step to make your own path. It will help you to be true to yourself.
