Sometimes Life is a Walk in the Park

Making Time for a Walk

We get busy with our day-to-day, but when the weather gets nice we make it a point to get outside. It's so easy to miss these beautiful days staying indoors. Winter is over, it's spring. It's time to get outdoors!

We walked through the marshlands near our home and got to experience some interesting things together as a family.

This is the first spring/summer than our littlest one, now that she is old enough to walk. She was experiencing everything on the hike as BRAND NEW.

We found a turtle on the path and got to get a very up close look at him.

My boy saw a swan in the water and called it a "duck". He learned that a big white bird with a long neck is a swan. He said "swan".

We found a large dead tree that had fallen and took out half of the path. It was an amazing site! We could only imagine what it would look like falling over.

The children were being brave and practicing their balance up the tree. Daddy and mommy kept a close watch.

We found a bunch of dandelions outside of the marshy forest. This was the first time our little one has seen dandelions, she thought they might taste good.

On the way back, we found a volley ball sand court - perfect for a quick sandcastle on the way back to the car.

It Was a Fun Walk

We didn't stay for very long, but so much adventure was packed into that little trip, that it was completely worth every minute.

I hope you enjoyed going for a walk with us. It was a fun outing, but now it's back to schoolwork for the children. And daddy's gotta get his nose back to the grindstone.

I hope you have a wonderful and sunny day. Bless the Most High!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.
