Dear friends and great blog readers,
It's another Sunday, in fact the first Sunday in the month of September. It is amazing how God has been to us since the beginning of this year - starting the year after going through a rigorous 2020 where COVID was the order of the day. We give all Glory to God.
I attended the first service today and it was quite a great experience in the presence of the Lord. It feels good to be in the presence of God, dancing and singing praises to his name.
I'd briefly like to admonish us to embrace the perfect peace that comes from God. The perfect peace from God casts out sadness, failure, disappointment and every evil occurrences that may want to befall you. Isaiah 26:3 says "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." You need to follow the path and footsteps of Christ to be able to enjoy this perfect peace that is promised.
Acquaint yourself with the word of God, be good to your neighbors, be faithful to your partner (business, spouse), live a life worthy of emulation, closing your eyes to people mocking you for being good and straightforward. You need to be at the point where you'd not feel bad for doing good to get that perfect piece from God.
We all thrive day in day out to be the best version of ourselves but we need the grace of God to attain this feat. We may pay full attention to the preaching during service, saying to ourselves that from this moment I will stop being a cheat, gossip, gambler, fornicator etc, because the words from the Pastor, Priest or Prophet is really hitting us hard but the moment we step out of the Church we throw everything we have heard away and continue in our normal way. It is not easy but we should try our possible best with the help of God.
