Si partiva da un prezzo di partenza di 52$, ne giro di un'ora tra una decina di interessati diversi il prezzo raddoppiò. Maurice sorbiva il suo caffè osservando lo schermo con attenzione, Dopo due ore gli utenti che partecipavano al rilancio erano scesi a 5 ed il prezzo arrivato a 135$. Maurice digitò 185$ e confermò l'offerta. Passò più di un minuto e mezzo, 25 secondi alla fine teorica dell'asta, poi il prezzo salì a 200$. L'utente libri_con_dedica aveva rilanciato con decisione. Nei successivi 15 frenetici minuti l'un l'altro rispose alla quotazione rilanciando di 10$ alla volta, come in una muscolare partita a tennis dove faceva punto chi tirava con maggior violenza.
