"The company you keep determines what accompanies you", a wise man once told me but being naive then, I do say "A sheep that walks with the dog only chooses to eat feces (dungs) if it likes". It's not as if the dog will force the sheep to feast on feces (dungs). But gradually as I grow older and understand the way life advances, I come to agree that one's company is a great determinant of what one becomes in life.
There are people we meet in our journey in life and we wish we never met them and there are some that we will forever be grateful for meeting because of their great impacts on our lives. As a lady, the kind of lifestyle the society expected is one of being dependent on the male gender. They believe that men are the only ones with rights as the female will sooner or later end up in the kitchen of her supposed partner. Therefore much isn't expected from a female child but I chose to change that mentality and there are some sets of people who helped me out.
The little gesture they show me put me on the right track thereby making a great impact on my life. My journey on the hive platform was through a friend who believed in me and knew I could reach out to the world at large not limiting myself to where I am alone. Even when I didn't believe in myself, he pushed me still I have reasons to see that I can do it.

Here is a friend who wants development for his fellow friend irrespective of gender. He knows I am a writer but I couldn't maximize my talent because I have no means. I had never heard of Hive until he told me about it, he helped me out in finding a place for myself on the Hive platform which time today, I remain ever grateful for. Thank you @fashtioluwa because your small gesture makes a great impact on my life.
In my everyday life, I had people who have helped me realize myself and helped me find my path in life but today I will be using this opportunity to appreciate those who have made the Hive platform a wonderful place for me to be. I began my journey on Hive and at some point, I wanted to give up because things weren't going the way I had assumed. But in the midst of this, there is someone who always encourages me with upvotes and comments.
When I thought I wasn't doing enough, he was always reading my write-ups, voting, and commenting, encouraging me not to give up. He is someone I haven't met or known before but give brought us together and today, he is one of my role models on the hive platform.

He is always ready to answer my questions anytime, he puts me through all the necessary information and he is always monitoring my growth to not give up after encountering one challenge or the other. Thanks @jjmusa2004 for your small gesture which has made a great impact on my life.
Navigating my way through the hive, I met a beautiful soul who never gets tired of attending to my questions, I call her my financial tutor. She always came to my rescue anytime I needed her, and she complained about my everyday questions. Sometimes I do wonder if I'm to be in her shoes, I can't possibly do all she does but she had never fit once leaving me stranded. She always takes her time to put me through any areas I am having difficulties. Despite the distance between us, she never neglected any of my needs.

To her, she might not count it as a big deal, but to me, I see it as a great privilege that I'm not taking for granted. The time she used to attend to me can be used for another profitable thing but yet she does create time for me that alone is wonderful. Your circle of friends determines who you are, choose wisely and never give up on your dreams.
