Paradise On Earth!

Sometimes you need to get away in order to come back and be fully present.- Margaret Heffernan

Most of us Africans are not really big on vacations. The system itself is already hard and everyone is struggling to stay alive. For most of us, it’s just to go to work, make money, take care of our kids and make good use of holidays and festivities. It’s mostly during these times that some of us get to have fun and release stress.

I’m someone who doesn’t like to stress. You’d find me running out the door even when it comes to friendships that come with so much drama. So ,imagine me having to deal with a life of stress which has now become an everyday thing for me. I love to work and keep busy , yes. This is because with the kind of person I am, any small chance I get to be idle will mean me developing problems for myself. This is the main reason why I love working and keeping busy all the time. But do I love the stress that comes after everything is said and done? No.

Once I get hyped up and fully invested into something, I literally don’t know when to stop. I’m that person who can work on something for 12 hours straight without a break and I’m also that person who can decide to not do anything for 24 hours. I know myself and in knowing myself, I have come to understand the importance of taking a break and living. The goal is to do the things you love , which include work but that doesn’t mean you should kill yourself. Just so you know, when it comes to any plan that involves having fun , please count me in. I can be that very boring person at times and I can also be the party animal when necessary.

Everyone loves to catch a break in their favourite place and I’m no exception. Anytime I’m stressed out, depressed , bored or I just need a break, my go to place all day, everyday is most definitely the beach.

I love nature and everything that comes with it, I mean who doesn’t? If you’ve been to the beach before you can attest to the fact that just being there in that moment brings you so much peace and solace. Breathing in the smell from the sea, families having their good times, kids running helter-skelter and screaming happily. It’s just gives you the chills.

There’s actually so much to take in at the beach, whether you’re alone or if you have company. Aside the numerous feelings you get at the beach, you are most likely going to meet so many amazing people there and you also get to have so much space to do whatever you want out there and there’s so much you can do at the beach. There’s literally no limitations but there is, lol.😄 So my dear, this is your call to visit the beach and have the time of your life.
