Empowering women in tech.

In a world where the technology sector appears to be controlled by men, it is critical to recognise and promote women's contributions to the profession. Unfortunately, women have little representation in IT and blockchain activities in Ghana and throughout Africa. However, I'm happy to report that the tide is changing and change is on the way.

On March 8th, 2024, I had the honour of presenting at a conference aimed at strengthening women. This event was conducted in honour of International Women's Day, and it provided an excellent opportunity to elevate and encourage others. I was profoundly humbled to be asked to address such a distinguished crowd.

The conference was more than just about recognising women's accomplishments; it was also about providing them with the skills and information they need to survive in an ever-changing digital environment. During my talk, I had the opportunity to introduce approximately 400 women to the world of Web3 and blockchain technology. These strong tools provide women with limitless chances to empower themselves and those around them.

The excitement and attention shown by the guests were extremely inspirational. They clearly recognised the power of Web3 and blockchain to revolutionise not just their own lives but also their communities. Many indicated a great desire to join the hive blockchain and begin their own excursions into the realm of Web3 technology.

In response to the great interest, we've scheduled weekly sessions to walk these ladies through the complexities of blockchain and Web3 activities. Our objective is to see more women use their talents and abilities to make significant contributions to the hive blockchain and beyond.

As we continue to advocate for women's inclusion and empowerment in the technology sector, I am optimistic about the future. Together, we can create a more varied, equitable, and inventive society, one in which women's contributions to technology are recognised and rewarded.
