Hello there, hope you're doing well. I hope you don't mind if I share a personal story with you. This week's topic is something that's been on my mind for a while now - love and light. As someone who hasn't received a gift on Valentine's Day, I thought I'd share my experience with you.

So, to give you a little background, I'm married, but my husband isn't too fond of Valentine's Day. However, that doesn't mean I haven't received some special gifts over the years. In fact, I remember two gifts in particular that hold a special place in my heart.

The first gift was from my husband when we were still dating. One day, he called me and asked if I was at home. I said yes, and 30 minutes later, he was at my gate with a black waterproof bag. Inside the bag was a pair of blue Palazzo jeans - something I had been eyeing for a while. I was over the moon with happiness and couldn't stop thanking him. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me.

The second gift was from my ex-boyfriend. He had asked me what I wanted as a graduation gift, and I told him I needed a new phone. After my exams, I traveled to Lagos to see him and my friend. On the third day of my trip, he took me to a phone shop and got me a phone worth 104 thousand naira. I was speechless and overwhelmed with gratitude. Even though we had broken up and I was in a new relationship, he still went out of his way to get me a gift. It was a kind and unexpected gesture that I'll never forget.

Looking back, those gifts were more than just material things. They were symbols of love, kindness, and generosity. And they showed me that you don't need a special occasion to show someone you care.
