What’s Happening In Accra-Ghana?

Before I start this post, I would like to advise anyone in Accra at the moment to just stay at home if they don’t have any important business in town because the traffic in Accra right now can make you go crazy( just kidding but just know the traffic is serious). I know some Ghanaians who are in Ghana don’t even know what’s going on in Accra-Ghana at the moment and that’s why I’m bringing you all an update.

For my people in the north, I won’t be surprised if this comes as news to you. That’s fine because your baby girl(me) and as the sweet Angel as I am, I am here to brief you all on most important thing happening in Accra at the moment. About 2 weeks now there’s been an ongoing games in Accra at the University of Ghana stadium. For this reason, we’ve had a lot of immigrants coming to Accra about two weeks now. There was even a whole budget about the games which started a whole “issue” on social media but that’s a story for another day.

Accra has been so packed, packed with people. Those who have cars have been spending double on the fuel they have been buying because they now take longer routes just to avoid the heavy traffic in Accra. Those who order rides also pay double because of the kind of traffic the rides have to encounter.
Anyway, football, tennis, cricket, high jump, arm wrestling and other sporting activities have been going on at the stadium.

I didn’t even know arm wrestling was a sporting activity in Africa. I was surprised to know because this is something I’ve been doing since I was a kid. I used to win all my brothers and friends in arm wrestling(nobody should go and ask them o). If only I knew, I would have been a national champion by now.
I know this is off topic but I just remembered that there was even a football match between Ghana and Nigeria yesterday at the Marrakech stadium. Nigeria scored Ghana 2-1. ( I really need to get back to my football career and save Ghana because this is too much)

By the way, we only allowed that because we’re nice people and we wanted to extend a warming welcoming if not we would have scored Nigeria 10- nil( no jokes, haha). Back to the University of Ghana Stadium, today is the last day for the games so the stadium is over full. I’m actually genuinely worried for those who stay very far away from the stadium and those who would have to order rides because the traffic is not going to reduce today nor tomorrow. (It’s a sign that I need to work hard and buy a car this year)

I won’t be surprised if a Ghanaian here doesn’t even know about any of this. You are the reason why I brought this update. Thank you for your time.
