Preparing For The Hive Tech Conference

I’ve been so excited since I heard about this conference. One thing fueling this excitement is how I will get the chance to meet really amazing fellow Ghanaians on the blockchain. I am currently in Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana but the conference will be happening in Kumasi, Ashanti Region which is about 6 hours from Takoradi by land and I am definitely going by land even though by air should be about 2hours and 33minutes.

Traveling to by land naturally makes me happy and of course it’s also cheaper (killing two birds with one stone). I really enjoy it and don’t mind being in a moving car for days.
I will leave on Friday morning and probably arrive in the evening because there’s always traffic in Ghana on Fridays. I’ll be spending the night at my friend’s place and then attend the conference with her on Saturday.
I have so many expectations for this conference and I know the leaders won’t disappoint.

For people who won’t be able to attend due to distance, financial problems or whatever, I’ll be your eyes and ears at the conference so you’d just have to stay tuned for updates from me. I am so prepared for this. I have my tripod ready for good pictures and videos. I even have a ring light just in case Electricity Company of Ghana does anything funny which I know won’t even happen. My hive book and pen just to write down what I will hear and my phone will also be taking videos for things I might not be fast enough to catch on( Yes, I told you I’m prepared).

I have my water bottle to keep me hydrated and my card wallet for hive cards that would be shared. I also have my headphone for music when I’m traveling to Kumasi. I’m also looking forward to learning strategic approaches to manage my hive wallet because I’m so bad at managing my finances but that’s fine. I know after this conference I’ll become a “queen” in that aspect.

I also can’t wait to meet like-minded individuals like myself who are ready to embrace the new internet, hive. Another reason why I am actually going for the conference is for the doubting Thomases. I know there might be people who would definitely have doubts so as a learning newbie, I’ll use myself, the benefits and opportunities I’ve gotten from hive in my few months of consistency and dedication as “a living testimony”.

You might want to pass by this reason but this is also a top tier for me even though I know people will laugh. My future husband might be at the conference so I have to be there too.
Anyway, as I’m here I’m literally waiting for Friday to pick my bag to Kumasi. As I said earlier, don’t be sad if you won’t be able to make it. Just stay tuned for all the updates from me.
