steevc just finished a 6.9km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 498.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was at The White Horse for our fortnightly session last night. We had ten performers plus a couple of guys who just happened to be there and who may play next time. This meant less chances to play, but it was still fun. I tried a couple of Queen songs I have not done before, but they need some work.

This morning was cool again with some frost on the cars. I did my usual loop and soon warmed up. It was fairly quiet out there and I am not sure I saw any other runners. I am currently mainly trying to just maintain my fitness, but am doing some extra exercises to try and improve my hip issue (gluteal tendinopathy). I need to strengthen the affected muscles. It was not too bad on the run this time.

I do like that it is lighter in the mornings now. I was just reading about how people can be larks (early risers) or owls (stay up late). I think I am the former as I do not sleep in even when I do not need to be up early. Daylight helps to synchronise our body clocks, but just being outside is good for us generally. I have started taking multivitamins recently on the advice of a medical friend. We older folk need to look after ourselves. I had been taking some vitamin D anyway as we need sunlight to make that and that is lacking in winter.

I felt fairly good about this run. I have about three weeks until my 10k in London, but should be ready for that.

Podcast listening today was Radiolab about the solar system and a couple of drumming shows.

Have a great day.
