Walk a little & run a little to complete another parkrun.

We went to Lota parkrun this morning. It was cold enough for me to want to walk around to stay warm in my t-shirt and shorts but not cold enough for me to go get my jumper out of the car. I knew I'd warm up as soon as I started my walk/run, or should I say "walk/jog".

With epic new parkrun locations picked up in new states and territories the last few weeks we've come home feeling even more like we really don't care about so many of the unofficial challenges we've been working on. For those who know about parkrun challenges the Wilson Index, the P Index, the V Index, even collecting new parkruns locally (because it means waking up super, super early) no longer sounds that interesting.

So instead of doing any of those things we just went somewhere local that Brad wanted to go and I could cruise. I'm committed to repairing whatever is going on with my right calf (she's been unhappy for a long while now). I'm using a rehab program out of the book "Older Yet Faster". Hopefully I can follow it sufficiently well that I can become not only injury free, but also older yet faster ;)

10,000 steps (and change) done. And another parkrun done, my way, which today was a really slow run/walk with a fair chunk of appreciating how beautiful the views are from this course and soaking up another lovely morning in (currently) sunny Queensland.
