The Music That Moves Me on #sublimesunday & #selfcaresunday | My Artist Playlist (Alphabet A)

MyMusic(1).png

Hello everyone and welcome back. For those who know me know that I love music. I grew up in the late 50s into the 60s loving the music that my parents listened to. That meant down home blues, such as Muddy Waters. Then I developed a love for rock and roll. The oldies, such as Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, B.B. King, The Doors, and of course, Jimi Hendrix.

This evolved into Rhythm and Blues. I guess many of my music choices could be deemed classic "old school". But I did evolve later in life in my music preferences. My children introduced me to other genres.

I listen to music often when I'm online or offline in quiet times when completing projects. It soothes me to the point I'm able to concentrate on any issues I need to sort out. As I was getting ready to prepare dinner, I was thinking about #sublimesunday and the new tag by @brittandjosie, #selfcaresunday. They are perfect for my thoughts today on my own health and that of my family. Making decisions on which direction you should go when you receive conflicting advice on treatments and procedures can sometimes weigh heavily on you.

So I located my ITunes and adjusted the reshuffle and began to prepare dinner. I'm listening to one of my favorite young female singers I added to my ITunes collection.

I want to share this music with you as well from my Alphabet "A" playlist and highlights this amazingly talented artist whose voice is so soothing and melodious it reminds me of my favorite music genre, rhythm and blues:

ADELE

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins ("Adele") is a British singer and songwriter born in London, England in 1988. At the age of 15 she was enrolled in a performing arts academy.

Her entry into music was by accident after she posted demo songs on her webpage.

She was quickly snatched up and signed to a label contract.

Her career took off with her deep sultry voice. You can hear the earthiness in her tone, with a bit of a raspy delivery. She reminds me of Angela Winbush.

Adele has produced some of the most through-provoking music lyrics delivered with such passion, they make you feel like a deep vibration is encompassing you, lifting you up, and carrying you away into a magical land. You don't want the song to end.

Adele's albums have seen phenomenal success. Her albums are labeled simply by the age at which she produced them. For example, her debut album, "19"; then, "21"; and finally, "25". She took a break to devote to her family.

Adele has won numerous Grammys in her career. I hope she continues to produce music until she no longer wishes to do so.

The music this artist produces I love because its sound is rooted in rhythm and blues as well as jazz. There are two or more songs I adore on each album. Overall, I have two favorite songs I listen to every day because they have special meaning for me.
