Entrepreneurship in Venezuela / My personal experience.

A business venture involves a series of well-coordinated steps for the business to get off to a good start, run smoothly and generate profits; Profits are the main objective of any venture.

Many times it is difficult to find the commercial or business area where we want to invest, either due to competition in various areas, the market, profitability, disposition or some other factor that makes it difficult for us to choose our area of entrepreneurship or the business that we want to start.

Now, all these steps get complicated when the place where you want to start your business is Venezuela. Venezuela is a country plunged into a deep economic crisis, where entrepreneurs do not start the business of their dreams, people are forced to invest in the business that is profitable at a certain time.

Economy in Venezuela.

It is said that crises generate opportunities and in Venezuela this is not the exception, the economic crisis has stimulated people's creativity, leading them to enter the informal economy since the salary they receive is not enough to feed the family, hence many illicit businesses arise on the street such as gasoline smuggling among others.

In that search to improve the family economy and obtain a place to live with my family, I decided to start a small business with some savings generated in Blockchain Steem / Hive.

My entrepreneurship and obstacles along the way.

In Venezuela one of the most profitable businesses at the moment is food, people need to eat, food is scarce and inaccessible for many Venezuelans, so, I entered the food business advised by a friend who invited me to buy and sell Cheese.

With $ 30 from Blockchain, I bought approximately 30 Kilos of cheese and that's how my adventure began, we bought cheese in Uracoa, which is a producer area to take to the San Félix market in Bolívar state. After starting with 30 kilos, the investment grew to sell between 100 and 170 kilos of cheese every weekend.

Obstacles to our business.

Transport: The shortage of gasoline has made public transport smaller and more expensive, the vehicles that have the greatest possibility of circulating are vehicles that use Diesel fuel, the shortage of transport units means that we have to pay $ 15 for the trip from Uracoa to San Felix, something really expensive for the profits generated by this activity.

Corruption and irregular groups: The first obstacle we must face is the corruption of the authorities at the checkpoints (National Guard, Police) .There are 2 permanent checkpoints on the way from Uracoa to San Felix (Macapaima, Toll).

Then there are the so-called "collectives", groups of organized criminals who charge a fee for the merchandise that we bring to the market, in my case, I pay for each container of cheese that I carry.

Hyperinflation: This is the number one enemy of the Venezuelan economy, if you distribute food it is very difficult to have to sell it at exaggeratedly high prices, inaccessible to most homes in Venezuela, this reduces sales.

Exchange system: The exchange system in Venezuela is what governs the economy of the country, in Venezuela due to the lack of production all the products of the basic basket are anchored to the Dollar, there are also two types of exchange , one with cash 5
00,000 Bs for 1 $, and in electronic transaction that already exceeds 1,000,000 Bs for 1 $. So in Venezuela, it's one thing to buy and sell with cash and another to buy and sell by bank transfer or electronic point of sale.

All this creates instability in prices and they are constantly rising, limiting our ability to reinvest.

Conclusions.

Being successful in any business implies a great effort, in addition to the favorable conjunction of some factors that influence the good performance of your venture, a good knowledge of the market, marketing, a good choice of the area where you want to start.

All this is part of a set of elements that we need to be successful in our business, but when it comes to Venezuela there are other elements that we must take into account and that become an obstacle for the business to grow.
