The term Cybersecurity, in recent years has been gaining strength, for many people when they hear that word they relate it to the computer security of the security systems of the States or with the financial systems and their protection against cybercriminals.
It is important to highlight that this term has been taking over many areas worldwide: manufacturing, food, construction, services, energy and transportation; in this last one I will stop a little, to comment on the Cybersecurity of Civil Aviation, being this the safest and most regulated means of transportation in the world.
In Latin American countries such as: Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela, it is necessary to comply with the regulations established by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Bodies of one of these States, as well as the international regulations recommended in terms of Cybersecurity, in order to ensure the safety of airport facilities, aircraft and most importantly of the users of this means of transport.
The security of Civil Aviation systems has been improving over time, because the aviation industry is very dynamic and competitive, there are always new equipment in the air and ground support, every day more automated and dependent on large servers, which is why all public and private aviation industries, This is why all public and private aeronautical industries, as well as air service providers have joined forces in order to attack any threat in their systems that can bring catastrophic consequences, shielding their systems, developing strategies and plans against cyber-attacks, designing and implementing regulations that strengthen the entire system and provide security to people who use this great means of transportation every day because of the trust it generates.
