As buffalo peacefully graze on the plains, an alien, from the far away planet Kepler, peeks out from an artificial cloud to see what’s happening on earth.
This extraterrestrial being aged into a wrinkled shell of himself upon entering the earth’s atmosphere.
With the change of environment, he felt all moisture being sucked out of his skin leaving him with dry, cracked lumpy skin and small spindly arms and legs. He knew how scary he would look to the inhabitants of this beautiful planet Earth.
He was send here on a space expedition to find water and minerals. His home planet is dying without these resources.
Since it has taken many years to reach earth and time to watch quietly from the cloud, he wonders if he will live long enough to return to Kepler.
Radar detected an unknown flying object in the sky and the government sent out a small plane to investigate.
Many people see the alien behind the cloud. The government, afraid of alarming people, report to the newspaper it is a weather balloon.
