For my collage, I used only images from the #lil gallery. Some are my own from the gallery.
This collage contains the shadow of a person looking out on the water hoping the captain of the lobster boat will see him and come to his rescue.
He had hoped to be home for New Year’s Eve. His wife had planned a huge party and now he wonders if she thinks he is dead somewhere in the water and is planning his funeral.
A week ago he was cruising the river in a small wooden boat that hit a large jagged rock, tearing a hole in the side of the water craft. Unable to swim, he managed to cling to the boat and guided it into the rocky shore of an island in the middle of the river.
The only company is a red chicken, a pigeon and occasionally a great blue heron will stop by. The pigeon and the hen are good friends and often spend time together.
The shipwrecked man wonders if chickens can swim. He doesn’t have any idea how the chicken got to the island, in the middle of the river. He feels blessed as the hen lays an egg everyday and this is a welcome breakfast.
