Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 76 - ✨145 HIVE in the Prize Pool!

Hello everyone.

During our Round #76 to be held April 8 - 12, 2021, the Gallery is presenting a Special Gala Event. It's the Let's Make A Collage (LMAC) Experience Exhibit featuring one of our renowned digital art specialists, @justclickindiva.

This week, for only 5 HIVE or 2.5 HBD, you can secure your own original digital print with complimentary photograph captured in front of your purchase. These digital prints are among the most sought after original works by this specialist.

We'd like to accommodate as many patrons as we can during our Let's Make A Collage (LMAC) Experience Exhibit. We ask that for those who have already booked appointments, please arrive at least 30 minutes early. Setting your profile in the right lighting is our primary goal. To achieve this, we must capture several different poses.

If you choose more than one original drawing, then your appointment may run slightly over your scheduled time. So please, be patient as demand is high.

For those of you who've already purchased your digital print and pre-booked your complimentary photo shoot, you should have received your personal brochure with a signed copy of your digital print. Included also in your packet is a detailed description of your particular print with background information on its design.

All other visitors to the Gallery during our special event will be placed on Walk-In status and be served on a first-come basis. The wait times may be substantially longer. We suggest securing your purchase and booking your appointment early.

However, if you only desire a signed digital print, please let us know. We'll it to be picked up at another date or delivered per your instructions.

The Gallery appreciates your continued support of our digital specialists, especially, @justclickindiva. We'd like to encourage you to support all our talented designers. We showcase a variety of subject matters, excluding those designated as NSFW.

Please feel free to engage with our digital specialist, @justclickindiva and other designers. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your visit and continued support of The Gallery.

LMAC EXPERIENCE ROUND #76 EXHIBIT

The Gallery Exhibit Brochure

This photography exhibit is made possible by the generous @shaka who provided the source image below as the starting point for our digital specialists to design their own unique collages before the April 12th deadline.

The digital prints will be displayed in our Gallery and made available during the photo session at the Let's Make A Collage (LMAC) Experience Exhibit.
One of our Gallery backgrounds chosen to display the designs came from the Gallery room called "The Museum". We though it an interesting setting. We chose this room due to the numerous colors displayed in it's wall mural that will blend in perfectly with @justclickindiva's chosen digital prints.

In designing my digital prints, I felt that the effects of adding people standing in line creates the illusion they are waiting for their appointment for the photo shoot for their particular digital print.
Also, the addition of the different colored vases and the stand creates a gallery setting.

Designed by @justclickindiva

EXHIBIT 1: "The Other Way"

LMAC-76-Gallery-UpsideDown.png

EXHIBIT #1 was inspired by the perspective of the question "Can we live life opposite from the norm?". The answer is, "yes we can".

This digital collage was created with the assistance of the drawing program, CANVA. It's numerous backgrounds and images make for a perfect atmosphere to create a unique collage.

The original source image given to work with was inverted. Adding a few smaller source images along the edges of the mural gave it a unique look at seeing opposites.

Images included in the digital print to complete the scene were:

The vases chosen to sit on top of the stand match the colors in the print.

I felt this would be a good digital print to use as the entry for the LMAC Round #76.

EXHIBIT 2: "ENTRANCE TO NEW WORLD"

LMAC-76-Gallery-NewWorld2.png

EXHIBIT #2 was inspired by the perspective of something different just beyond. All you have to do is lift up the veil to uncover what's in store for you. A serene setting awaits if you wish to enter.

The view beyond may look inviting upon first glance. However, look carefully. All may not be as it seems.

Again, this digital collage was created with the assistance of the drawing program, CANVA. I utilized it to create my collage by adding the contest source image to the background photo.

The colors in the background image photo blended just right with the mural.

Next, I uploaded my collage into Deep Dream Generator. This program creates amazing effects. I love the thought of the angel not adorning a white gown. Here are my settings:

Type:
Deep Style 2
Used settings:
Enhance: None
Resolution: 0.6MP
Iterations Boost: x1
Style Weight: 50%
Style Scale: 100%
Preserve Original Colors: No
Images include:

Not completely satisfied with the distortion of the source image created by the filter, I returned to Canva and included again the source image.

EXHIBIT 3: UNDISCOVERED CAVE

LMAC-76-Gallery-HauntedCave(1).png

EXHIBIT #3 was inspired by the perspective of what's on the other side if you enter a cave. Is it a portal to a new world, or just more of the same. See what was discovered once you enter this mysterious place.

First, I utilized Deep Dream Generator. I located an effect that would hopefully create a haunting scene. Here are the settings:

Type:
Deep Style 2
Used settings:
Enhance: None
Resolution: 0.6MP
Iterations Boost: x1
Style Weight: 50%
Style Scale: 100%
Preserve Original Colors: No

Next, the collage was completed in CANVA. The effects image from Deep Dream Generator was uploaded. The following images below were then added.

I feel as though I accomplished this scene as the image was transformed into an eerie night.

EXHIBIT 4: "MAJESTIC MOUNTAIN LIVING"

LMAC-76-Gallery-MountainParadise.png

EXHIBIT 4 was inspired by the perspective of my version of living on a majestic island where the landscape is breathtaking.

I love mountains and greenery. The lush setting looks so inviting.

This digital collage was created with the use of Deep Dream Generator to add depth to the original background image.

Type:
Deep Style 2
Used settings:
Enhance: None
Resolution: 0.6MP
Iterations Boost: x1
Style Weight: 50%
Style Scale: 100%
Preserve Original Colors: No

Then, the filtered image was uploaded into CANVA to include additional images to complete the collage.

Since the background photo was already colorful, I decided to add only a few images that wouldn't conflict with the scene.

Images include:

I love the overall look of this digital collage. A true paradise setting.

EXHIBIT 5: "BY THE OCEAN"

LMAC-76-Gallery-HouseBySea.png

EXHIBIT #5 was inspired by the perspective of loving to be near the rushing waters and close to nature. The smell of fresh air and sea water is refreshing. For this digital print two programs were utilized.

First, the program Deep Dream Generator was use to create a filtered version of the background image.

Below are the settings utilized to create the white water rapids look in the image.

Type:
Deep Style 2
Used settings:
Enhance: None
Resolution: 0.6MP
Iterations Boost: x1
Style Weight: 50%
Style Scale: 100%
Preserve Original Colors: No

The next step was to upload the filtered image into CANA. There, additional images were included to complete the collage. Birds in a photo are beautiful, especially gulls.

Images include:

The finished collage looked dramatic with the flowing water, but also serene. Can you imagine living by the ocean with this view each day?

EXHIBIT 6: "FAIRY TALE"

LMAC-76-Gallery-GirlByTree.png

EXHIBIT #6 was inspired by the perspective of loving fairy tales and fantasy when younger. Also, a forest scene is a must for any fairy setting. For this digital print two programs were utilized.

First, the program Deep Dream Generator was used to create a filtered version of the background image. I wanted a soft scene, so I chose one that hopefully would add color to the background and not the child or teddy bear in the scene.

I located such a filter and applied the settings below to create an outdoor scene. The trees looks as though it's a tiny house for the child and her bear. The original contest photo was included to show the child outside the house near the forest.

Type:
Deep Style 2
Used settings:
Enhance: None
Resolution: 0.6MP
Iterations Boost: x1
Style Weight: 50%
Style Scale: 100%
Preserve Original Colors: No

Images include:

I love fairy tales and images that portray them. I feel I accomplished a magical setting in this collage with the child reading while her teddy bear looks on. The addition of the butterfly always suggests a light and airy setting.
