Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 67
This week's LMAC contest features a western theme. I wanted something different for the contest image. I decided to clash the old with the new in a western scene.
Since Mardi Gras is here, I thought it would nice to have as the foreground a modern parade to celebrate the event that will march through an old western town. I added a clown, Mardi Gras beads, and balloons to make the modern touch more realistic to mark the occasion. I wonder if the townspeople noticed that the lady in the parade had cowboy boots on. What a shocker that must have been with the shorts too for attire. What has the world come to!
My background photo I found has townspeople gathered at The Yellow Rose establishment on the top balcony to watch the parade. Behind the town lies hills and a nice, clear sky. In the left hand corner at the bottom, I included the contest image. I then added an image of a cowboy trying to break a horse.
In the sky, I added fireworks.
I think it made for a nice contrast of old versus new.
To create this collage, I started with the photograph provided by @shaka.
I uploaded all the images in Canva where I compiled my collage.
