Today readers will find in my post a truly eclectic collection of pictures. There is no overriding theme, unless it is that I am always surprised by what I find as I stroll around the community.
The rat (artificial!), for example, was poised on a side yard fence. The bell tower belonged to ninety-year-old church I had never seen before. Most of the decorations adorned lawns. The sunburst was attached to the front of a house. I tried to clarify the design and ended up filling it in completely and getting a new image.
The gargoyle was the sort of thing I might have passed a hundred times without seeing it. The figure was perched on a roof peak. I asked the homeowner about this odd adornment and he said a previous owner had put the piece there. "I'm not going to climb up and take it down," he assured me. I hope that shot is clear enough to be useful.
