Today I made a QSO (a two-way radio contact) with MI0AIH David from Cookstown, Northern Ireland on 14.260 MHz. The distance is 2047 km.
At first, I barely heard him calling CQ (general call), just above the noise, but later his signal strength went up (to 52). He heard me properly (he gave me a 57 signal report).
My equipment:
Radio (transceiver): Yaesu FT-450D.
Antenna: 30 meters long wire antenna in the garden, approximately two or three meters above the ground.
My QTH (the location of my radioamateur station): Tiszasüly, Hungary.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
