Common blackbird (Turdus merula) / Amsel

The breeding season is over and a blackbird is resting on my fence. The characteristic ring around the eye and the bright orange color of the beak are signs of the males. I love the singing of these little guys who long and loudly announce their melodies high up in the birch trees.

Die Brutsaison ist abgeschlossen und ein Amselmännchen ruht sich auf meinem Zaun aus. Der charakteristische Ring um das Auge und die helle orange Färbung des Schnabels sind Zeichen der Männchen. Ich liebe den Gesang dieser kleinen Kerle, die hoch oben in den Birken lange und laut ihre Melodien verkünden.

Black redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) / Hausrotschwanz

The young redstart is fluffed up and constantly bouncing around. The parents did a great job and raised a whole horde of these little fellows. Together with the sparrow cubs they play around in the birch or on the ground and catch everything that moves. Since a break is quite right.

Der junge Hausrotschwanz ist aufgeplustert und ständig am herumhüpfen. Die Eltern haben ganze Arbeit geleistet und eine ganze Horde dieser kleinen Gesellen aufgezogen. Zusammen mit den Spatzenjungen spielen sie in den Birken oder am Boden herum und fangen alles was sich bewegt. Da kommt eine kleine Pause ganz recht.
