Check out this crazy turtle!
While fishing for fish, we managed to snag a Softshell Turtle. It was hook underneath it's shell in the back, so the whole time I was reeling it in it was facing away from me. This made it extremely difficult to reel in, especially because they are such strong swimmers. Thankfully, the hook didn't hurt or cut it much, and we were able to release it soon after catching it. Turtles are one of my favorite creatures, and I love checking them out, so it was a pleasant surprise for us to catch this one. Right after it, we also caught a Gar, which you can see in the black and white photos below. Enjoy the photos!
