We are all familiar with Artificial Intelligence Science Fiction movies, were we have seen a complete world take-over by AI . Now with a recent development in the AI space this fear has gripped onto us more intensely than ever. GPT - 3 is one such development

What is GPT-3 ?
GPT-3 is an abbreviation for (Generative Pre-trained transformer) 3rd version . GPT-3 is one of Open AI's latest language model and the most powerful ever created .
For those who are new a language model in simple terms is one of the algorithms of AI that deal with sentence or text prediction with the use of statistics and probability.
For Example take Gmail's smart compose feature wherein while composing a mail it predicts the sentence you want to type in. That's exactly what GPT-3 at it's core is designed for.
GPT-3 VS IT'S PREDECESSORS
Before GTP-3 entered the race there were plenty of other models in this landscape that were considered state of the art back then.
GPT-2 the predecessor of the former was consider the best last year when it was released with 1.5 billion parameters .
Many Neo Luddistic individuals spread propaganda all over the internet that the Robot apocalypse has hit the world.
Nvidia subsequently launched Megatron with over 8 billion Parameters
Microsoft later that year had it's turing NLP which is considered the second best with 17 billion parameters.
and now we have GPT-3 with a staggering 175 billion Parameters clearly leading the race with the highest margin ever .
REAL WORLD USE CASE OF GPT-3
No matter how innovative you claim the technology is , if it doesn't serve a solid real world use case then it's here to die and be forgotten .
1. Text Predictor
Like I mentioned earlier GPT 3 Fundamentally is a power text predictor. Researchers at Open AI fed almost the all the text data on the internet to train the model, this helps it to predict what the user is going to type.
2.Translation
The model is said to translate efficiently than any existing translator tool ever created.
3.Creative content
The model under the guidance of a Human can generate reasonably creative content.
4.Program Code
Stunning the developer community the GPT 3 model is able to write basic program code with just mere text input from an user .

Conclusion: Incoming Robotic Apocalypse ?
No (Atleast for now) But, Wait !!!.
This doesn't mean AI won't come after you. Just like the digital revolution came and conquered gradually , AI also will . AI will replace Low IQ repetitive jobs in it's first phase and gradually scale up .
So what can I do to beat this ?
You just can't ! You have to learn to coexist with AI .
If you pick up a job or a skill make sure your job/skill don't come in direct competition with AI in the future
