WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR THE CREATIVE BLOGGER TAG?

WHAT HAS INSPIRED THIS INITIATIVE?

When I was a newbie blogger in 2014, I participated in three "Tags" in order to get to know other bloggers in the blogosphere. I have noticed that there has been not a lot of "Tags" here in Hive (at least for us in PH I guess) and so I thought that maybe we can start one and I named it the "Creative Blogger Tag" because every person here in Hive has so much creativity, talent and skills and thus it would be great to have this sort of activity in order to get to know each other better. As you can see below, these are the links of the blogger tags I have joined in 2014:

LET'S GET STARTED!

The blogger who tagged me is myself.

The two OBLIGATORY QUESTIONS along with this Tag are the following:
Obligatory Question #1: How Would You Add Value to Hive?
Obligatory Question #2: How would you make Hive a better place?

creative blogger tag questions.jpg

Here are the FIVE (5) Questions I needed to answer:
Question #1: What is your Hive blog name/ username and why did you choose that?
Question #2: How do you feel about Christmas?
Question #3: What is your biggest goal in life?
Question #4: What is one word that describes you?
Question #5: Mountains or Beaches?

ANSWERING THE FIVE QUESTIONS

Question #1: What is your blog name/ username and why did you choose that?

My blog name is Write to Wander.

My old blog name was "summerglee" (summerglee.com) because I am an optimistic person and I see things in summer heat and playfulness. Glee is a state by which I try to be always in as I walk through the dizzy ups and downs of life. I changed it into Write to Wander in 2017 because I needed a blog name that would represent the new me--while yes I am still an optimistic and gleeful woman, but I am also grieving and healing. That's where writing comes in.

Write!
Little did I know that I was starting to heal as I write. Writing has always been therapeutic for me. In fact, I started writing in 2007. I wrote what I imagine. I had so much imagination that I needed an outlet for them! That's when I started writing Tagalog romantic teenage novels. Not a lot of people know this because I rarely share this "writer" side of me for fear of being judged. But I am sharing this with you, dear beautiful people of Hive, because, with all humility, I want you to know that I have been writing for quite some time now and you can expect that it will only get better. πŸ˜…πŸ™πŸΌ Moreover, I am no longer afraid of other people's opinions because I know my writing craft better than anyone else since I've lived with my head for a long time now. If there's any consolation though, it's that I now use criticisms to better my work and I don't let it get to me or my mental health. Let's get back to writing, why, yes.
I was able to write about three full novels from 2007 to 2010. (See photos below) These were all about teen life and romance, as I was a teenager back then, and I had so much inspiration from my classmates and my crushes lol. In college, I started to write poems. My college degree has helped me improve my English grammar and literary creativity. Before the "Isang Daang Tula Para kay Stella" movie got famous in the Philippines, I had written almost 100 poems for my crush in sophomore year HAHAHA. (See photo below) I started writing in my diary when I was in my senior year in high school and I continued doing so in college. Now I do not call it a diary anymore by my journal. I read once that it's important to reflect and write so I developed the habit of writing my feelings onto my journal. Furthermore, my love for writing has motivated me to have a Master's degree in Literature. I haven't graduated yet but I am working on that degree. Having classes while working is a very challenging experience. But I know that this is all worth it so I continue to persevere.

These are notebooks from circa 2007 to 2010 when I was in high school. I have a wild dramatic imagination back then so I write them down. Many of my classmates used to read my novels hahaa. When I read them now, they are so childish and immature, and I laugh at this silly young version of me.

012.jpg
I wrote almost a hundred poems for a special someone way back when I was a college sophomore. Oh, the things we do when we "seem" to be "in love" lol.

Wander!
When you look it up in your dictionary, wandering can mean going without any directions whatsoever. While there are times that I plan and organize things in my life, there are also a lot of times when I embrace the uncertainty of the paths I take. I like to wander. I like to get lost in my train of thought and in the physical world, too. I have a hunger for places and culture and language and gelato and a variety of cuisine and I want to wander and get lost while I delve into these! I wander around my hometown too, exploring places and cafes and building and strengthening my relationships as I do so. Wandering actually helps me write, too. People and places always inspire me to write.

Write to Wander was born because writing and wandering have been tools for me to experience life as it is--all its joys, sorrows, laughter, bliss, grieving, mourning, tenderness, compassion, heartbreaks, hopelessness, glory, misery, delight, loving-kindness. To write as I wander about life in its simplicity and grandeur, the messy bits and the crazy decisions, the little mundane things and the big celebrations.

Question #2: How do you feel about Christmas?

Growing up, I have always loved Christmas because of the gifts I get to open and the food during parties! It would be an understatement when I say that I love Christmas because if there's such a word more than love, then that is what I would use. Do not get me wrong, though. I do not just love this season because of the presents but now that I understand what it truly means I feel all fuzzy and warm inside. I love how Christmas brings people--family and friends--together and love is manifested through the singing of carols and the meals shared during parties and the most-awaited Noche Buena and the exciting gift-giving and the cold December air giving an extra ounce of love to warm hugs and kisses exchanged.

Question #3: What is your biggest goal in life?

More than anything else in the world, I want to die a happy death. I hope that when I die, I won't regret the last words I have spoken and the things I've done. My December 2014 self agrees as well, as seen in this blog post of mine when I just started blogging via blogspot.

Question #4: What is one word that describes you?

This is probably the most difficult question to answer because there is no word that defines me lol. However for the purpose of this Tag, my answer would be: sublime.

Question #5: Mountains or Beaches?

I adore both, but if I were to choose which one is closer to my heart, it would be the mountains! The sense of adventure in the mountains is definitely over the top because, for instance, when I get lost as I traverse, then that is where real adventure comes in. The uncertainty and thrill give me a sense of adrenaline and surely it will make me so alive at the moment lol. In a realistic sense though, I love the mountains because the trees and the greenery can easily soothe my worries and instantly make me calm, focused and centred.

My Answers to the Two Obligatory Questions
Value I Can Add and Making Hive a Better Place!

Obligatory Question #1: How Would You Add Value to Hive?

By bringing a piece of my heart here. There's only one me in the whole world, just as my fingerprints are unique to me, so are my thoughts and writing style unique to me and only me. Write to Wander has so much to offer that only I can offer. My unique set of experiences has shaped me into the person that I am and that's exactly what I can bring to Hive. I can let my "creative genius" run gloriously wild as I bleed into the blog posts I shall continue to publish on this platform.

Obligatory Question #2: How would you make Hive a better place?

I am a novelty "implementer" I'm sorry I don't have the right word for it. πŸ˜… I tend to think of new ways and when I share it, people tend to act upon my suggestion or follow an example.
Cases in point: In 2017, there were eight Fridays wherein people in our office follow my self-made "memo" about the "Friday dress code". The photos of the memos (with my colleagues' signatures) I have kept with me are posted down below. Another example would be way back in 2015 I used to give chocolates and hand-written notes with quotes to my teammates in the call center where I worked every payday and my Team Leader started to copy that as well, as shown in the photos below.

All the eight "Dress Code" Memos I made during the last quarter of 2017 are on the left side of this collage. The selfie I included was us showing OOTDs in the shades of blue and grey. πŸ’™πŸ–€

September 5, 2015 | Here are the sticky notes I gave to one of my colleagues who seemed to always be left broken-hearted in her relationships. I wanted to cheer her up as she was newly single at that time.

Sticky Notes and a Jar of More Notes!

August 29, 2015 | Our Team Leader gave us this chocolate as our team was among the top performers in the company. Yay! 😊 Notice that she did not yet place a sticky note along with it.

November 21, 2015 | Our Team Leader gave us chocolates again and notice that there is a sticky note with them. 😘 The note says, "Thank you for being an excellent Customer Service Advocate!" Ayieee.

I can bring this aspect of me here in Hive and try to make it a better place. Moreover, I can offer my talent and skills and uplift as many people as I meet. Speaking of novelty, I am starting this Initiative. The goal is for you dear Hive blogger to answer the questions in a way that the rest of us can get to know you better. Wouldn't it be fun and fantastic to get to know each one of us in a more personal and intimate way using this platform?

You may download the free templates below, get creative as you edit your own photos and details on them, and feel free to use any of the following photos in your post.😘 OR... In the spirit of creativity, you can also make your own templates and have the ones you tagged make use of the templates you created. There is so much space for creativity so the sky is not the limit, yes? Let's go, hivers~! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜š

Write to Wander has just been in Hive for three months but this has been home to me already. A home to spill my mind and share the pieces of my heart. I will continue to make this space of home clean, tidy, creative and cozy, and just as I would to any homes I have, I will protect this safe haven with all my might.
