Over the past few months, our "cult" manager @ybanezkim26 have already managed to invite his few close friends to join Hive. A few of us are actively communicating virtually however we have finally agreed to meet up in person to intimately get to know each other and also claim our HIVE SHIRTS from @thegaillery.
This face to face meetup has been long overdue and finally we were able to set the final date last June 17, 2021. This was the only date we were able to agree where everyone was present within the city and was able to a lot some time for the meet up.
For the location, we voted to meet at The Market here in Cebu after a couple of other suggested locations. Why the Market? @thegaillery suggested there is this tasty food Bokie Cup that could be found there.
Expected time of meetup was 4pm. Others were on the dot in terms of the time, as for me I took a bit some time to get there (Don't ask why). One by one, everyone showed up while introducing ourselves to one another and just had some casual exchanges of stories. We were finally complete around 6pm. Then @thegaillery distributed our Hive shirts. After some fitting and checking with the sizes, we had our group shot taken right away because @wandergirl had to leave for work that night.

Does he? Apparently, he still manages to do so. Engineer, traveler, writer, curator, mentor and manager - who knows what else he could do.

Silent but deadly talented engineer. Besides riding his motorcycle and travel, he is our go to handy man for our sounds set up.
After a quick photoshoot we bought some delicious food from the BOKIE CUP to fill up our tummies as we continued talking with each other about all random topics. From Hive, to writing, to personalities, to crypto, to travels, to life learnings, and many more that we didn't noticed time went by so fast and we had to end our short but sweet meet up around 9pm.
It was definitely great seeing old acquaintances and meeting new ones. We were able to know more about each other's authentic selves and our group's shared interests like travelling and writing. Our mini get together was just the start of the bond and true friendship that we want to build for HIVE CEBU.
We hope to have these regular meet ups soon to put into actions our future goals for our Hive Community here in Cebu, Philippines. So stay tune!
