In Malaysia, we have been confined at home and tried to stay home since April when the Covid cases suddenly spiked. So, my boys really did not step out of the apartment area except for a few visits to some hospital follow ups for my youngest son. Physical school is going to reopen next week yet the number of cases have not gone lower than 10k per day. I struggle with my inner self in making decisions for them but thought we can try going out to an open space area to test it out.
So after 5 months at home, we were finally out to the outdoors to a park called Kepong Metropolitan Park. It has changed quite a bit. We went a bit earlier to beat the evening crowds. Left house at 350pm, seizing the good weather because we never know when it may rain again in this current season.
Thank goodness the park is huge so we managed to walk in places that are quite secluded. Went to survey a good spot for frisbee tomorrow to be back with some friends and food. The boys had a blast running and just checking out the place. I enjoyed myself with the green scenery.
In the end, we settled at a place, sitting down on some steps where my youngest son non-stop climbing up and down. We tried playing some frisbee and ball with the boys. Then we left at 520pm to pack food for dinner.
I was thinking to burn the children's energy as much as we could so they can hit the sack earlier but it did not work. They could still stay awake till their usual sleeping hour but this mama was the one feeling exhausted. Oh children!
That was a good time spent together as a family, out of the house! We all needed to breathe some outdoor air. This park is still as beautiful as I remember it to be which was probably during my last visit many years ago before I even got married.
