Rural lock down

As promised, here are the pictures of the walk I had yesterday. It was a nice day, not too cold, not too hot and I decided to take the day off and instead of going to the farm to continue the pruning of the olive trees, I went on the mountain above the village, with my partner and our dog.

Yes, I know the country is on lock down and any unnecessary movement should be avoided but we live at a place that you can walk for hours without meeting a living soul and that's how things are even in normal times.

On the picture above you can see a part of the village and the scenery around it. Just to get an idea of what I am talking about. No risk of catching or spreading the virus up here!

Stepping out of the house spring was all around us. The blooming trees, the buzzing insects, the beauty and the smells of nature were all there to welcome us!

The path that we took was the old national road. A dirty road that can hardly fit two cars but beautifully made and perfect for walking. The view is amazing and the new road is way below making the traffic look like children toys.

Unfortunately the atmosphere was not clear enough for good pictures so you have to take my word when I say that the view is amazing or wait for the next time I'll come this way with my camera. But even with foggy weather the photo opportunities were unlimited!

Although it all started as a dog walk it evolved in a 3 hours refreshing and mind clearing hike that all of us loved it and most probably needed!
We returned home slightly tired but with a large smile on our face!
