Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi primer video de 3Speak y en esta oportunidad les presentaré una canción icónica del jazz contemporáneo, interpretado con una agrupación poco convencional para este género. El tema se llama Spain y el compositor es Chick Corea.
Esta canción fue compuesta en el año 1971 y con el correr del tiempo se ha convertido en un standard del jazz debido a su ritmo pegajoso y su melodía contagiante, llegando a convertir a Chick Corea en ganador del premio Grammy en el año 2001.
Today I want to share with you my first video of 3Speak and in this opportunity I will present you an iconic song of contemporary jazz, performed with an unconventional group for this genre. The song is called Spain and the composer is Chick Corea.

El tema comienza con los primeros compases del adagio del Concierto de Aranjuez del compositor español Joaquín Rodrigo e inmediatamente comienza un pegadizo ritmo similar a la samba que da paso a la melodía principal de Spain.
El Trío Zoe, agrupación que interpreta esta versión de Spain en el festival TOM Sessions Music realizado en el Teatro de la Ópera de Maracay en el año 2008, tiene la particularidad de no ser un grupo de jazz, pero la combinación sonora que dan los tres instrumentos genera un color muy particular e interesante a este genial tema de Chick Corea.
