Samuel and Eunice first met themselves in Secondary school where they both had a lot in common. They were nicknamed the class couple to show the extent of their closeness to each other. The only thing that seperated them was the wall of their class room. Samuel was a Science student so he's in SS 3A, while Eunice is in SS 3C, the Art class. They both meet at the school cafeteria during break hours to eat together and discuss about so many things.
Meanwhile, they both agreed to attend the same higher institution, study the same course and possibly work together in the same company. The duo wrote their final examination and came out in flying colors. They started schooling together in the same university and it didn't take much time for people to recognize them as a couple.
They had discussions on how to become successful all spheres of life. They decided to open a joint account where they can save some money in case of emergency needs. They talked about how and when to get married, the number of kids they want, the type of house they would build, among others.
The love between Samuel and Eunice was a model for their friends. They envy the kind of love they shared so much that they pray for a sweet relationship like theirs.
In the first semester of their final year, there is a twist of tale. There's the introduction of another person into the narrative. Samuel started seeing another lady which means he have to share his attention between the two ladies. One day, Eunice's surprise visit to Sam in his house turned sour when she caught him with the other lady pants down. She was speechless and left the room weeping.
Samuel apologized and promised not to repeat it again. Out of the abundance of love that Eunice have for him she forgive him. However, Sam didn't turn a new leaf. He was caught several times and the next thing he will do is to go down on his knees to apologize.
Eunice was at a crossroad and a state of dilemma. She's confused whether to walk away or remain in the broken relationship. She wept bitterly when she remember how far they have come and all the plans they made for the future.
To cut the long story short, she broke up with him and walk away. Samuel didn't bother to apologize this time, he went to seek solace with the new lady. After some months, Samuel realize that the new lady is not as loving and caring as Eunice - they do not have any form of connection whatsoever. He regret his actions and promised himself not to ever treat her badly if she takes him back.
He tried all his best to beg her but she's not ready to give him another chance. She was happy that she made decision to walk away at that point even though it was a very difficult one.
Walking away from some people, lifestyle, or even job could be really hard, nevertheless, it can be the best decision you are going to make in your life.
It is important to always know when to walk away from life threatening situations. Many lives have been lost, many dreams have been shattered because they have seen themselves as good as empty when they walk away from a relationship or job.
However, be sure you're not walking away for selfish reasons and interests that will put others at loss.
No matter the number of years you have been with someone, be it in a relationship or business, it may be best to walk away when the person starts playing on your intelligence and taking you for a fool. Sam, in the excerpt above realized how much Eunice loved him and feel she will always forgive him no matter the number of times he cheats. But, Eunice was wise enough to know the right time to walk away before it becomes life and career threatening.

It doesn't have to be a relationship or business before you walk away when the flow is going to affect you negatively. It applies to so many aspects of our life. It could be a bad friend you need to walk away from, it could be an organization or group and so on.
