Onboarding Initiative : Increasing Our Number Through Promotion, Training And Support

Our Hive empowerment initiatives in Ghana has piqued the interest of many Ghanaian youth, some of whom have already signed up and are actively participating. Most of us would agree that one of the most difficult tasks in the Hive ecosystem is onboarding newcomers.
It entails more than just signing up. In my opinion, the onboarding task is not complete until the newcomer has become acquainted with the Hive blockchain and has finally found his or her way around.

Without the necessary help and support, many newcomers will eventually stop participating actively and leave their accounts dormant. As important as it is to increase the Hive user base, it is equally important to keep providing support so that those who have joined Hive doesn't perceive it as a complex ecosystem or a place where only experts can thrive.

Everyone is a potential user of Hive, and I firmly believe that everyone has a lot to offer and can add value. Because of this, @mcsamm and I have made the decision to give all the newcomers who are joining us for the first time our full attention. We became aware of the need to offer support in any way we could so they could create good posts, comments and be aware of the numerous ongoing activities on the Hive blockchain.

This is the reason we have decided to hold regular meetings where we present information, offer tutorials, and help newcomers deal with any challenge they may be having. Yesterday was our second meeting since we started the initiative last week. Due to geographic limitations, we conduct our meetings virtually via Telegram. We've been having a great time with the newcomers who have been coming, and these online meetings are always an opportunity to learn from one another. The presentation from yesterday focused on Hive keys, Hive transactions, postings and interactions.

Above are some of the aspects of the presentation

These are some of the most crucial topics that newcomers need to be well-versed in if they want to journey smoothly on Hive. I assisted @mcsamm as he led the presentation. We hope to welcome more of the newcomers who asked that the meeting be scheduled early during weekend so they could attend. The following newcomers (@samed10, @depressedfuckup, @zzzinnn, and @smariam, @nimatu) are currently on board and actively participating. Due to their low RC, which had impeded their ability to post and comment, @mcsamm and I decided to support each of them by delegating 100 HP to each of them so they could participate actively.

We have urged them to be consistent and active so they can grow their Hive power. Although the tasks have been demanding, they are necessary to build a strong Hive community. The goal of this initiative is to build a strong Hive community in Ghana. With this, we hope to connect with many Ghanaians and educate them about the many opportunities available in the decentralized world of Hive. Since we believe Hive can empower many Ghanaian youth, we have relied on the media, such as TV , News Networks , and Radio stations , and we will continue to do so until we have reached many.

With this initiative, we hope to make great progress toward our goal of increasing the number of people on board while ensuring that no one is left behind and receives the support they require to fully enjoy their time on Hive.
