Motivation has a saturation limit

Staying motivated is something that everyone loves to have. I have been through that thought several times and even today I feel the same. I guess this is something that is common among every individual. We always want to make use of our time in a productive manner and in order to do that we look forward to having some motivation and inspiration in our life. But once we read some contents related to motivation and watch videos that inspire us, we get filled up with lots of energy. But, do you honestly think that the motivation that you gained will last forever? Definitely not.

Once you gain that motivation, you will look forward to making use of that and later it gradually fades away. This is what I wanted to talk about in this article. We all would have a dream in our mind and we look forward to work towards that dream. We would have either not started working on the dream or we will look forward to having some motivation to continue working on that dream. Usually, when we look forward to doing something or chase our dreams, with the motivation that we get, we start working on changing other bits in our life that needs correction. By doing that we easily get deviated.

I will not agree with the fact that motivation is something that is always required. According to me, we don't need motivation at all. Naturally, it is always there and we should first stop looking for motivation. If we just close our eyes and think about the task that we would like to do and the outcome that we would be getting after completing the task, we will automatically get motivation. We may not need an additional source of motivation apart from that.

An individual cannot stay motivated all the time. That is when saturation happens. When you start working on what you intend to work on, you will automatically start getting the motivation that you need. There is no additional motivation will be required. The task that you are doing will automatically drive you towards the next steps once you start doing it. If you start doing a task and you are not motivated to continue that further, the problem is not with the motivation, you do not have clarity about the task and that is what is preventing you from proceeding further.

Like I mentioned above, inspiration and motivation are just the first steps towards taking the action that you need to take. After taking that action, your action itself will set you the right path to proceed further and that itself will act as the motivation factor. I have heard it from people that they get bored by being motivated. If that is the case, then motivation is not something that they need. There will be enough motivation already available and it would have even reached the saturation limit but there is something else that we might need in such a situation. We can even check if we have enough potential before even we think about staying motivated. If we don't have the clarity and potential to execute a task, even motivation will not be of any help to us.
