What I Keep Running Away From, Keeps Pulling Me Back! πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I might have mentioned it once or twice about me not being a huge fan of using green in my watercolour works. And it is quite ironic given my love for nature & greenery. I don’t know what it is but colors like blue, crimson, black, etc have a string on me & I find them very charming. Whether individually or together.

Now, when I am doing my own thing, nobody can force me to use them ofc! But recently more than 50% of my commissioned artworks have been nothing but loaded with tints & shades of green. Universe has it's way of playing games with me lol. Before starting them I usually dread going near the greens in my color palette but it has been an interesting discovery for me. I rather enjoyed mixing and making SO many types of green. Most fun have been using them with browns, whites and yellows. It has really taught me how to show what type of a plant or tree is supposed to be there.

Light green, slightly brown, or super green and bright ones. Brushes have been a fantastic exploration too. Thanks to the type of leaves. A little bit of technique really goes a long way & can save a LOT of time!

Guess this is how you get out of your comfort zone. By putting yourself in a position where you have no choice but to face not so pleasant situations.
