Help! I've poisoned my cat!
Dear community, I want to share with you some important information about toxic breath for cats.

In January 2012 when Mr. Cat came to our home an episode occurred, he was a puppy of just two months and obviously was getting to know both the family and the house and although we had placed a container with fresh water he still did not know where to find it and found in the bathroom a container in which my sister had a garment bleached with soap and chlorine, Mr. Cat took that water and a few hours later began to vomit.
As it usually happens in these cases, it was Sunday night and without a vehicle we had no way to take him to the vet, so we took a risk and gave him a home treatment at the risk of making a mistake, I will not say here what it was, since I do not recommend at all that you medicate your pets, the ideal is that they are evaluated by a veterinarian, since they are the specialists in the matter.
After this introduction I want to let you know that there are foods, medicines and plants that are toxic and not recommended for your furry friends and I am not just talking about cats I am talking about dogs, but in this publication I will emphasize those that are toxic for kittens.
As far as the toxic breaths are concerned, we have the following
😾 Onion, chives (long onions) and garlic, produce anemia.
😾 Coffee, affects your neurological and cardiac system.
😾 Alcohol, they can't metabolize it.
😾 Raw food, inadequate sanitary control could result in meat being contaminated with salmonella, toxoplasmosis, anisakis.
😾 Fatty breath, can cause pancreatitis, among others.
😾 Sweet breaths, the metalobism of the pussy can not assimilate the sugar contained in them.
😾 Peanuts, nuts, dried fruits, affect the nervous and muscular system.
😾 Chocolate can cause pancreatitis.
😾 Sausages damage the renal system.
😾 Spines and bones, can perforate the digestive system.
😾 Milk and other dairy products cats do not possess the enzyme responsible for digestion, it causes diarrhea because they are not intolerant to these products.
😾 Grapes and raisins can cause problems for the renal system.
Another thing to avoid at all costs in your kitty's food is salt.
Many times we have the mistaken vision that our pets can eat the leftovers from our table and by giving them spicy food we are doing them a horrible harm.
However, when it comes to medication, you should never give your cats any:
❌ Paracetamol
❌ Naproxen.
❌ Ketorolac.
❌ Aspirin.
❌ Vitamin A
❌ Vitamin D derivatives.
It is possible that there are some others, there is information on the web, but a veterinarian will give you a more adequate and above all accurate answer.
It is important that you know at this point that some talcum powder, shampoos and flea repellents can poison your pussy, remember that they call a lot to their coat.
In Venezuela we have a plant with which we usually decorate our homes during the Christmas season, the parrot is particularly toxic for cats, (its flower) if you have one avoid using this silver to decorate your home at this time of year.

¡Auxilio intoxiqué a mi gato!
Querida comunidad quiero compartir con ustedes una importante información sobre los alientos tóxicos para los felinos.
En enero de 2012 cuando Señor Gato llegó a nuestro hogar se presentó un episodio, era un cachorro de apenas dos meses y obviamente estaba conociendo tanto a la familia como a la casa y aunque le habíamos colocado un envase con agua fresca el todavía no sabía bien donde encontrarla y encontró en el baño un recipiente en el que mi hermana tenía una prenda blanqueado con jabón y cloro, Señor Gato tomó esa agua y a las pocas horas empezó a vomitar.
Como suele pasar en estos casos, era domingo en la noche y sin vehículo no teníamos como llevarlo al veterinario, así que nos arriesgamos y le dimos un tratamiento casero a riesgo de equivocarnos, no diré acá cual fue, ya que no recomiendo para nada que mediquen a sus animales de compañía, lo ideal es que los evalúe un veterinario, ya que ellos son los especialistas en la materia.
Luego de esta introduccion quiero hacerles saber que existen alimentos, medicamentos y plantas que son tóxicos y nada recomendados para sus amigos peludos y no hablo solo de gatos hablo de perros, pero en esta publicación haré énfasis en los que son tóxicos para los mininos.
En cuanto a los alientos tóxicos tenemos los siguientes
😾 Cebolla, cebollin (cebolla larga) y ajo, producen anemia.
😾 Café, afecta su sistema neurológico y cardíaco.
😾 Alcohol, no pueden metabolizarlo.
😾 Alimentos crudos, un control sanitario no adecuado podría traer como consecuencia que las carnes esten contaminadas con salmonela, toxoplasmosis, anisakis.
😾 Alientos grasos, pueden provocar pancreatitis, entre otros.
😾 Alientos dulces el metalobismo del minino no puede asimilar el azúcar contenida en ellos.
😾 Maní, nueces, frutos secos., afectan el sistema nervioso y muscular.
😾 Chocolate puede producir pancreatitis.
😾 Embutidos perjudican el sistema renal.
😾 Espinas y huesos, pueden perforar el sistema digestivo.
😾 Leche y otros derivados lácteos los gatos no poseen la enzima encargada de digerirla, ocasiona diarrea porque sin intolerantes a estos productos.
😾 Uvas y pasas pueden provocar problemas al sistema renal.
Otro cosa que debes evitar a toda costa en la comida de tus mininos es la sal.
Muchas veces tenemos la equivocada visión de que nuestros animales de compañía pueden comer las sobras de nuestra mesa y al darle comida condimentada les estamos haciendo un daño horrible.
Ahora bien en cuanto a medicamentos no debes bajo ningún concepto dar a tus gatos:
❌ Paracetamol
❌ Naproxeno.
❌ Ketorolaco.
❌ Aspirinas.
❌ Vitamina A
❌ Derivados de la vitamina D.
Es posible que existan algunos otros, existe información en la red, pero un veterinario te dará una respuesta mas adecuada y sobretodo acertada.
Es importante que en este punto sepas que algunos talcos, champús y repelentes para pulgas pueden intoxicar a tu minino., recuerda que ellos llamen mucho su pelaje.
En Venezuela tenemos una planta con la que solemos adornar nuestros hogares en épocas decembrinas, el papagayo está planta es particularmente tóxica para los gatos, (su flor) si tienes una evita usar esta plata para adornar tu hogar en esta época del año.
