Last year, I had the pleasure of taking several hikes in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. It was my first trip out there, and it will not be the last! Something just hits different in the desert.
Wide open spaces, flowers on the cacti, the contrast of blue skies with rocky shades of orange and brown.
Lizards scurrying across the rocks, birds of prey hovering in the sky, the sweat dripping from my brow.
Arriving at the stream, throwing our socks and shirts on the rock slab to dry, while we splash our sun-touched cheeks and let our feet soak.
Where will we go tomorrow?
