Hello hello!! ¿Cómo están gente? Espero que bien. Bueno, lo prometido es deuda y como ya son mis últimos días en la universidad antes de entrar en vacaciones, podré dedicarme a dibujar y publicar más cosas en la plataforma, mientras tanto acá tengo proceso de como fui realizando el dibujo de mi primera publicación. Como pueden ver es un dibujo de yo y mi Oc Karla para quien no la conozca, ¿es algo linda verdad? Su pasión es comer y dormir.
Hello hello! how are you people? I hope you are well. Well, what is promised is debt and as these are my last days at the university before going on vacation, I will be able to dedicate myself to draw and publish more things on the platform, meanwhile here I have the process of how I was making the drawing of my first publication. As you can see it's a drawing of me and my Oc Karla for those who don't know her, she's kind of cute isn't she? Her passion is eating and sleeping.
La inspiración para dibujar a Karla me vino cuando era adolescente, en la época donde todavía estudiaba en el bachillerato en el bachillerato prefería hacer garabatos en mis cuadernos cuando no tenía nada más que hacer, de una de esas veces nació Karla, aunque una versión un poco más deforme y menos linda con un estilo que estaba entre el anime y la caricatura, no me gustaba mucho debido a que eran garabatos (y ahora menos xD). Poco a poco fui mejorando y puliendo un poco mi forma de dibujar, por lo que no sería hasta hace un par de años que rediseñaría a Karla y la subiría a mi instagram y twitter, que por cierto si no me siguen, son libres de hacerlo. Quería que mi estilo fuera mucho más anime, así que por eso tuve que rediseñarla un par de veces. Bueno, con eso dicho creo que podemos empezar.
The inspiration to draw Karla came to me when I was a teenager, at the time when I was still studying in high school in high school I preferred to doodle in my notebooks when I had nothing else to do, from one of those times Karla was born, although a slightly more deformed and less cute version with a style that was between anime and cartoon, I didn't like it much because they were doodles (and now less xD). Little by little I was improving and polishing a little bit my way of drawing, so it wouldn't be until a couple of years ago that I would redesign Karla and upload her to my instagram and twitter, which by the way if you don't follow me, you are free to do so. I wanted my style to be much more anime, so that's why I had to redesign her a couple of times. Well, with that said I think we can get started.
Acá como pueden ver inicie el boceto, comencé por las cabezas y luego hice rápidamente las formas del cuerpo sin pensar mucho en cómo se verían al final. Con Karla por ejemplo, empecé a dibujarle partes del pelo para saber que parte de mi yo chibi seria tapada por su cabello. Oh, uso Paint tool Sai 2 para dibujar como pueden ver, bastante recomendable para aquellos que no tengan tableta gráfica y quieran sufrir dibujando a Mause como yo.
Here as you can see I started the sketch, I started with the heads and then I quickly made the body shapes without thinking too much about how they would look at the end. With Karla for example, I started drawing parts of her hair to know which part of my chibi self would be covered by her hair. Oh, I use Paint tool Sai 2 to draw as you can see, quite recommendable for those who don't have a graphic tablet and want to suffer drawing Mause like me.
Acá como se podrá notar ya empecé a darles la forma un poco más detallada, es como un segundo boceto. Como se puede notar, mientras que conmigo solo me dediqué a trazar algunos detalles del suéter y los pies, con Karla le hice más partes del cabello y ojos para ir visualizando como se vería esta. Mi intención era que se viera linda después de todo, le cambie la postura de meditación que tenía en el primer boceto y la cambie a una un poco más cómoda o natural a la vista, también le hice su suéter usando de referencia el mismo suéter de mi yo chibi para hacerlo rápido.
Here as you can see I started to give them a more detailed shape, it's like a second sketch. As you can see, while with me I only traced some details of the sweater and the feet, with Karla I did more parts of the hair and eyes to visualize how she would look like. My intention was to make her look cute after all, I changed the meditation posture she had in the first sketch and changed it to one a little more comfortable or natural to the eye, I also made her sweater using as a reference the same sweater of my chibi self to make it fast.
Aquí empezó lo medio complicado a la hora de hacer el boceto, normalmente no suelo dibujarme, por lo que hacer mi cabello fue una tarea que me llevo un rato hasta decidirme como se vería, estuve borrando y tranzando hasta que quedara algo similar a mi cabello pero sin que se viera mal hecho, aparte quería hacer una mirada ni muy alegre ni muy enojada o gruñona, así que tuve que repetir el proceso de hacer sus ojos varias veces. Esta de acá fue la versión final por así decirlo, pero igualmente tendría que pulirla un poco en el lineart. De hecho tiendo a pulir muchas cosas en el lineart, ya lo verán. ¡Oh! Cierto, creo que se nota pero tienen estilos diferentes en los ojos. Quería que el mío fuera más simple mientras que los de Karla eran un poco más grandes y lindos.
Here began the complicated part when making the sketch, normally I don't usually draw myself, so making my hair was a task that took me a while to decide how it would look like, I was erasing and trying until I got something similar to my hair but without it looking bad, besides I wanted to make a look neither too happy nor too angry or grumpy, so I had to repeat the process of making her eyes several times. This one here was the final version so to speak, but I would still have to polish it a bit in the lineart. In fact I tend to polish a lot of things in the lineart, you'll see. Oh! Right, I think you can tell but they have different styles in the eyes. I wanted mine to be simpler while Karla's were a bit bigger and more pretty.
Ya como pueden ver en el Lineart pulí bastantes cosas, ya no solamente el cabello o la cara de Karla, sino las líneas, su grosor más que nada. En los suéteres quería que se notara un poco más ese cambio para que se viera algo rellenito y suave. Arregle las proporciones de todos, Quedaron un poco menos cabezones y a la hora de invertir el dibujo ya no quedaban destruidos por proporciones mal hechas en el boceto. Le puse una boca a Karla que ya la necesitaba, y termine de hacerle el cabello hasta el suelo.
Ahora venía lo difícil para mí. Si, pintar, yo no sé pintar casi, todavía estoy aprendiendo y es lo que más se me dificulta. En la vida real no tengo experiencia alguna pintando, así que en digital tuve que improvisar en mis comienzos para por lo menos saber qué hacer. En este caso opte por usar no más de 3 colores, Color base, Sombra, y luz. Con esa idea en mente solo tuve que usar algunos colores que ya tengo pre-establecidos para los suéteres (que pueden ver en mis otras redes sociales) y los pinte. Quedo el resultado siguiente:
As you can see in the lineart I polished quite a few things, not only Karla's hair or face, but the lines, her grozor more than anything else. In the sweaters I wanted to show a little more of that change to make her look a little fuller and softer. I fixed the proportions of all of them, they were a little less big-headed and at the time of inverting the drawing they were no longer destroyed by bad proportions in the sketch. I put a mouth to Karla that already needed it, and I finished making her hair to the floor.
Now came the hard part for me. Yes, painting, I don't know how to paint almost, I'm still learning and it's the hardest thing for me. In real life I don't have any experience painting, so in digital I had to improvise in my beginnings to at least know what to do. In this case I opted to use no more than 3 colors, Base color, Shadow, and light. With that idea in mind I just had to use some colors that I already have pre-established for the sweaters (which you can see in my other social networks) and paint them. The result is as follows:
Como se podrá notar, en mi chibi solo tiene un color en cada sección del cuerpo salvo en la piel y los ojos los cuales ya tienen sombra, son las partes más pequeñas así que lo hice de inmediato. Karla por otro lado tiene más colores debido a su cabello teñido. Originalmente era negro pero gracias a que dos youtubers Yapura Meri y Paula valiente (también conocida como Nasukichan) me ilustraron en el camino de amar el color morado. Así que para la mitad derecha del cabello de Karla escogí un tono que fuese de mi gusto, sus ojos tenían que combinar y ser un poco más claros, aparte como vuelvo a decir, son las partes más pequeñas, decidí terminarlos en gran parte para no sobre pensar el cómo pintarlos. Como notaran sus piernitas tienen sombreado y bueno la sombra negra entre estas es obvia, ¡ahí nadie vera nada!
As you can see, my chibi has only one color in each section of the body except for the skin and the eyes which already have shadows, they are the smallest parts so I did it immediately. Karla on the other hand has more colors because of her dyed hair. Originally it was black but thanks to two youtubers Yapura Meri and Paula valiente (aka Nasukichan) enlightened me on how to love the color purple. So for the right half of Karla's hair I chose a shade that was to my liking, her eyes had to match and be a little lighter, besides as I say again, they are the smallest parts, I decided to finish them off for the most part so I didn't over think how to paint them. As you may notice her little legs have shading and well the black shadow between them is obvious, so no one will see anything!
Aca ya se veria la versión final, prometo tomar mas capturas en otros dibujos para mostrar un poco mas del proceso ya que siento que pudo haber sido mejor. Pero bueno, estos dibujitos son chibis asi que puedo usar eso de excusa. Como notaran mayormente hice los brillos en el cabello de todos, los ojitos de Karla y un poco en los mios. Añadi el sombreado a la ropa y ¡Oh! Un poco de detalle en mi cubre bocas al menos, le añadi algo de sombreado tambien pero intentando que quedara con algo de luz tambien. El cabello de Karla a pesar de verse lindo, es un poco complicado para mi a la hora de pintarlo, son dos colores asi que tengo que escoger dos tonos para cada lado, y no solo en colores base, tambien en luz y sombras lo cual añade trabajo a la hora de hacer el brillo en dicha parte. Aunque ya vieron el resultado en el principio, ahora si sera la version completa, tiendo a recortar un poco el espacio en blanco e incluso algunas partes del cuerpo la hora de publicar la version final ya terminada.
Here you can see the final version, I promise to take more screenshots in other drawings to show a little more of the process as I feel it could have been better. But well, these drawings are chibis so I can use that as an excuse. As you will notice I mostly did the glitter in everyone's hair, Karla's eyes and a little bit in mine. I added the shading to the clothes and oh, a little detail on my mouth cover at least, I added some shading too but trying to make it light as well. Karla's hair even though it looks nice, is a little complicated for me when painting it, it's two colors so I have to choose two tones for each side, and not only in base colors, also in light and shadows which adds work when doing the shine in that part. Although you saw the result in the beginning, now if it will be the full version, I tend to cut a little white space and even some parts of the body when publishing the final version already finished.
Bueno eso era todo, Agradezco a quien se tomara el tiempo de ver esto y le deseo un bonito día en el que pueda comer y dormir mucho como Karla. Espero que haber brindado algo de entretenimiento breve con la muestra de mi proceso, quizá en un futuro cuando tenga más experiencia seré más técnico, y puede que una que otra cosa pueda enseñar, pero todavía creo estar lejos de eso. Aunque podría dar algún que otro consejo a la hora de dibujar con Mause. ¡¡¡Bueno Hasta pronto!!!
