2 horas intentando dibujar en Photoshop
Últimamente ya ha bajado el ritmo de entregas en mi universidad por lo que he tenido mucho tiempo libre, tiempo que principalmente paso durmiendo descansando jajajajajaj. Sin embargo, también he comenzado a invertir tiempo en mejorar mis habilidades de dibujo en digital, para aprovechar la tableta gráfica que me prestó un amigo.
El dÃa de hoy quiero mostrarles el resultado de un pequeño experimento y estudio básico de retrato que hice para practicar con photoshop y entender como usar los pinceles, como hacer luces y sombras y demás detalles.
2 hours trying to draw in Photoshop
Lately the pace of job deliveries at my university has already decreased a lot, so I have had a lot of free time, time that I mainly spend sleeping resting lol. However, I have also started to invest time in improving my digital drawing skills, to take advantage of the graphics tablet that a friend lent me.
Today I want to show you the result of a little experiment and basic portrait study I did to practice with photoshop and understand how to use brushes, how to make lights and shadows and other details.
La verdad pensaba que se me harÃa bastante difÃcil entender lo básico para dibujar en este programa pero claro con ayuda de unos cuantos tutoriales en Youtube pude comprender las bases y me puse full a dibujar.
Como tengo muchos bocetos simples y rápidos tuve que sentarme a revisar los que tengo fotografiados en la pc para ver cual utilizaba para esta práctica. Seleccioné uno que me llamó bastante la atención porque vi que podrÃa lograr un cambio bastante interesante y la verdad creo que lo conseguÃ.
I really thought it would be quite difficult for me to understand the basics of drawing in this program, but of course with the help of some tutorials on Youtube I was able to understand the basics and started drawing.
As I have many simple and quick sketches I had to sit down and review the ones I have photographed on the pc to see which one to use for this practice. I selected one that caught my eye because I saw that I could make a pretty interesting change and I really think I got it.
Proceso de dibujo
Mi proceso de dibujo quizá no fue el mas optimo porque claro no se mucho como trabajar en digital y estoy aprendiendo como va todo esto, aunque después de las 2 horas que pasé haciendo este boceto ya comprendo mucho mejor que puedo hacer y como hacerlo.
Drawing process
My drawing process was perhaps not the most optimal because of course I do not know much how to work in digital and I am learning how all this is going, although after the 2 hours I spent doing this sketch I already understand much better what I can do and how to do it.
Con el boceto ya en el programa hice 2 tipos de delineados, uno un poco mas tosco y rustico para todo el dibujo en general y luego hice algunos detalles con una lÃnea un poco mas fina definida.
With the sketch already in the program I made 2 types of outlines, one a little rougher and rustic for all the drawing in general and then I made some details with a slightly thinner line defined.
Luego hice una mancha de color gris para hacer la base de la piel en una capa y luego comencé a realizar la sombra en otra capa para lograr un volumen en el rostro.
Then I made a gray spot to make the base of the skin in one layer and then I started to perform the shadow on another layer to achieve a volume on the face.
Luego pasé a hacer el cabello de una forma bastante rápida y sencilla, sin tanto detalle.
Then I went on to make the hair in a pretty quick and simple way, without so much detail.
Luego fui detallando un poco mas las demás partes del boceto como la ropa, en el boceto el personaje tenÃa algo asà como un traje un poco mas formal, y lo cambié por un suéter para darle un estilo mas informal.
Then I detailed a little more the other parts of the sketch such as the clothes, in the sketch the character had something like a slightly more formal suit, and I changed it for a sweater to give it a more informal style.
Asà quedó el sketch final en digital, a partir de aquà comencé a hacer pequeños retoques para detallar un poco mejor todo el dibujo. Le agregue un poco de ruido, agregué ajustes de curvas, brillo y contraste y luego intenté hacer un fondo texturizado con degradado para colocar el dibujo y darle un look mas interesante.
This was the result of the final sketch in digital, from here I started to make small tweaks to detail a little better all the drawing. I added some noise, added curve, brightness, and contrast settings, and then tried to make a textured background with gradient to position the drawing and give it a more interesting look.
Lo del fondo claro y texturizado no me terminó de convencer asà que hice un fondo mas simple de color gris bastante oscuro y le hice un trazado exterior al borde del dibujo para resaltarlo de el.
The light, textured background didn't convince me, so I made a simpler background of pretty dark gray and made an outer stroke to the edge of the drawing to highlight it from it.
Como último detalle decidà colocarle un poco de color a los ojos del personaje para resaltar mucho mas su mirada.
De verdad que el resultado final de esta práctica me dejo bastante contento porque si pude hacer algo genial a pesar de que era mi primera vez utilizando Photoshop para dibujar.
As a last detail I decided to put a little color to the eyes of the character to highlight his look much more.
Really the end result of this practice left me quite happy because if I could do something good even though it was my first time using Photoshop to draw.
