An exquisite portrait-step by step

It's high praise if I praise my work because I've found that regardless of how many likes I get on conventional social media apps, if I am not fully feeling satisfied by my work , I won't be convinced. Similarly, even if I get no likes and I truly admire a work, I'm satisfied because the pleasure I get is the satisfaction in knowing it was a good work. That's how I feel about the art work I'm about to share below.

I'm so happy with this piece and I told a friend that it's the stuff of my dreams because ever since I started drawing seriously and digitally I've craved to make something like this. I feel I've reached a new threshold from which I'll be able to further improve my paintings. It's exciting and I'm glad I can share that excitement with like minded people here.
